    Whiteboards & Roadmaps: an Update

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:43 AM PST

    [DE]Steve:

    My honoured Tenno,

I hope you like my arrows - if you don't feel like reading, those arrows are what we're developing to ship soon.

    • Warframes 3: You've seen Hildryn and Wisp (two of the three upcoming Warframes).

    • Deck 12 - Exploiter: There's been cryptic videos in both of this year's Devstreams... blink and you'll miss it. Something is coming and I'm not just thinking about the Opticor Vandal.

    • The Gas City has been developing week over week and it's way more than 'just' an art remaster.

    • Melee: is something I tweet about (maybe too much)?

    • The 'Wolf of Saturn' stands out as something that replaces Alerts, gives challenges, and introducers new characters.

But it's February - and none of it's live. We are developing it all - and pushing ourselves to deliver innovation and quality very soon (because we know you're probably bored waiting).

    Sooooon:

    • You can expect a full Melee Phase 1 workshop with diagrams, videos, and information next week. This tells you everything you need to know about our roll out plans and changes. The Melee changes themselves aren't coming this week.

    • You can expect a full 'What's happening to Alerts' workshop next week as well - bye bye 'pay to sleep'. In the coming weeks, the Wolf will howl.

    • Also in the coming wee,s a PC mainline update that brings you Hildryn, 'Exploiter', and Melee Phase 1 (it'll be part of the mainline, not coming this week).

Now I have to go finish all these things with the team, send coffee.

    My big three!

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:17 PM PST

Who's richer, Nef Anyo, Alad V, Frohd Bek or Baro?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 12:31 PM PST

Watched the trailer for Alad V, and had a question, who is richer?

We basically rob the Corpus blind every day, and how they make profit margins is still a mystery, but the bigwigs of the Corpus faction spend over 3 Million Platinum for Mag! That makes the current Player economy look like flee markets compared to this.

Nef Anyo, the gambler, hosts the index, which is a terrible concept that takes at least hundreds of millions of Credits out of Nef Anyo's pockets, which we profit off of immensely, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he has nigh unlimited sources of Credits, since he has a whole freaking Colony, and a large region of a Planet. My vote goes out to him, since he seems like the guy that appeals to all the idealistic low end Corpus, who are in it for the money.

Alad V, the sleezy knob is seen in the trailer, deconstructing Warframe parts, and selling them for a MASSIVE profit, this is proven in the trailer where we see some of the Corpus bid IMMENSE amounts of Profit for just a normal Mag! Not even the full parts, since the core components will be used for the Zanuka Project. Just imagine a Mag Prime!

Frohd Bek, the Grophet of Grofit is the Chairman of the Corpus Board. He is the inventor of The Ambulas Reborn project, and presumably is the one pulling all the strings, and approving what is allowed and what isn't. I still don't think that he is as rich as Nef Anyo, but maybe a close second.

And Finally Baro' Ki' Teer, the Void Trader and bringer of Primed Dissapointment. I really thought about him, and the more I think, the clearer his scheme gets. Most vendors use a commonly used Currency, like Credits or Platinum, but Darvo uses Ducats, which we get for selling Primed Parts, we already know that Primed Weapons are relics from the Orokin era, that are just straight upgrades from their Tenno counterparts, and we're just giving him WHOLE SETS, I don't think he is as rich as Nef Anyo, but seeming that he basically has all of the Primed weapons and Warframes, he might be the biggest Warlord in the whole Solar Rail!

Not someone who knows the Lore as good as some people here do, so I would like to know the take on other peoples opinions.

A bug caused 30+ Drudge Foremans to spawn as backup for an invasion. This is their story.

Banshee made me realise how utterly broken reflexes enemies have.

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 07:33 AM PST

So, it all started off with me getting a Daikyu riven. Had no Kuva, so i went to the nearest kuva flood exterminate to get it. [EDIT: First mention of a Kuva FLOOD was *right here...* God damn, some people just dont even read the damn post, do they?]

And of all things i could have picked, i took banshee and Amprex.

Literally the second something appeared in front of me, i was shredded. I got oneshot by basically everything. Silence was literally worthless for me this time. Sonar didnt do jack shit for me either because it always appeared in the perfect spot on the enemy for me to be unable to hit it.

I had no choice but to start playing Warframe like the slowest tactical shooter in existence. I havent used my Operator as much even in eidolon hunting. Slowly creeping around corners making sure that whenever i go, there is not a single enemy within half a kilometer. I slowly leaned out my cover, firing at enemies that were close. The very limited range of Amprex didnt help either. And when i made one wrong step, i was on the floor bleeding out rapidly.

This is the day i finally understood what Grineer really are. When you are running around, oneshoting anything you look at with ignis, or nuking the whole map with saryn without even thinking, they might seem like a pushover. Like some miserable clones that will rot away by just being sneezed at.

This day however, when i wasnt able to just delete them from existence, i finally got a taste of who they really were. They werent some worthless meatbags that barely hold a gun. They were the most skilled veterans of the Grineer army. The moment they saw a centimeter of your body, it was already gone. Shot off by crude, yet effective weapons. They werent going to run away crying like some miserable grunt, but stood towering over my Warframe, taunting me until i finally exposed myself and got torn apart by a Sobek, Hind, Grakata, or Kraken.

After 19 minutes spent in this hell, i barely managed to escape. No revives left, close to death, begging for mercy. But i did it. I have managed to survive.

To any of you reading this, you dont have to wait for DE to release their difficulty update. Take a surprisingly weak frame, possibly top it off with dragon keys. Try to go for the highest level mission you can find. No abilities, no one to help, its only you and the Grineer.

To whoever survived this wall of text, good friggin job. And to myself, NEVER TAKE F!CKING BANSHEE TO KUVA FLOOD.

    /rant

EDIT: Because quite a lot of people keep commenting about certain things i have to correct all the damn time, i decided to put it here:

My Banshee had 220% power strength and enough range to have 30 meters on Silence. This, combined with the Grineer Galleon tileset, made Silence essentially a waste of energy as by the time i reached the enemies, they have long since recovered from the stun.

Additionally, i was in a KUVA FLOOD EXTERMINATE. So for the love of all that is fucking alive or dead or whatever, stop saying that "Banshe is totlly vivable for koova survivol!1".

My Helios’ t-pose power is nigh unstoppable. He escaped from my orbiter out into the system. He gains more strength as we speak.
