Warframe should get a trades ledger

    Posted: 24 Feb 2019 06:36 PM PST

I've been playing a lot of EVE recently and it's nice seeing a ledger of all my in-game transactions, showing what I bought and how much I paid, the date/time, etc. Just a shower thought that it'd be nice for Warframe to have a similar feature, showing trades you've made with other players, what items were traded and when, etc. for those of us that like to keep track of these things. Could also show you a market trend type thing, of how much plat you've spent in trade (and maybe on market purchases too), and how much plat you've received in trades (and from other sources like direct purchases and promo codes).

    Mods hurt my soul

    Posted: 24 Feb 2019 03:14 PM PST

I love warframe, but it has one big glaring issue in my opinion. Mods. 90% of your mod space is filled up by mandatory mods like vitality or pressure point and that takes away power and creativity from the player. Compounded onto the lack of space issue is that the more creative gameplay changing mods are generally underwhelming. Tek gravity and rift strike are interesting but hard to justify in anything other than low level content.

The fix... exilus mod slots. They already exist, there just need to be more of them and for weapons as well. Rift strike, heavy impact, and the like should be added to the exilus category. Doing this would add a whole new layer to an already great game, customization, gameplay variety. imagine if each weapon had an augment mod like rift strike that changed how it played: kesheg's block made you invulnerable, orvius's puppet throw thing would move onto another enemy if you killed the target it was currently suspending.

I can't think of a reason this is unrealistic or bad but I'm only mr 8. So, if you guys have a better idea or if you think nothing needs to be changed I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance 👍

Do I understand the lore behind Warframes correctly?Spoilers of course

    Posted: 24 Feb 2019 05:46 PM PST

From what I can tell, Warframes are actually people infected by the Orokin with a modified strain of the infestation that caused them to turn into machine-flesh hybrids as well as in most cases removed their capability to act on their own. The Tenno are people with void powers who are exclusively capable of linking up with and controlling the Warframes.

    Better mandachord?

    Posted: 24 Feb 2019 06:06 PM PST

I am aware, that this had probably been suggested a million times, when Octavia came out, but I still wanted to bring it up.

After hours of painful farming, I finally built myself an Octavia. I've heard that she is one of the best frames in the game, but to be honest, I built her because I wanted to play with the mandachord.

So imagine my disappointment when I found out just how little I can do with it. Extremely limited note choices, fixed bpm, 4 bar loop, etc. (You call her Octavia when she can't even play 1 octave?)

People say it's to make it so even if people don't know what they're doing they won't make something that sounds terrible, but you have the option to mute it, and that has an easy solution: just lock it behind a blueprint or a purchase. You'll have to make extra effort to get the advanced options, but it should gate off the people just trying to play the frame. If they went out of their way to do this just to make noise, then they'll probably be annoying no matter what frame they play.

Here's a wishlist of what I wish the mandachord did:

    Unrealistic wishes:

2 Octaves, 20 notes for both melody and bass

    Crash and toms for percussion

Option to do up to 16 bar loops instead of 4

    Triplets

    Changeable time signatures

    Realistic wishes:

1 Octave, 8 notes for both melody and bass

    Crash for percussion

    Changeable BPM

    Holding notes

Honestly, just having a full octave would change so much.

As for the aesthetics, I'm thinking something along the lines of multiple layered disks like hard drives instead of the 1 big disk we're using now.

There's just so much more I could be doing with the mandachord and I'm frustrated that I can't.
