Focus schools should be called "Active"/"Inactive" and not "Primary"/"Secondary"

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 03:59 PM PDT

In this game you can bring a Primary and a Secondary weapon to a mission. You can more or less use them at the same time: shoot with your primary, then pick up the objective and shoot with your secondary. Both weapons are usable and functioning within the same mission and therefore both of them has an effect on the mission.

Based on this in-game terminology, when it comes to Focus schools, my expectation would be that you bring a "Primary" school from which you get most of your powers and then you have your "Secondary" school with a bit of extra, potentially situational bonuses. As a new player, using the in-game terminology, this was my expectation, and have eagerly jumped into farming focus, while happily theorycrafting all my future builds involving various combinations of these focus schools, which look very similar to traditional RPG skill trees.

Instead, the "Secondary" school does absolutely nothing at all during missions. Using the same weapon terminology taught by the game, this would be equivalent of a weapon I did not equip at all.

This has lead to a huge amount of frustration, wasted time/resources, and disappointment, with seemingly no way to avoid this based on the knowledge available in-game. (Yes, there is a Wiki, but in situations like this I won't even know in advance that I need to look something up because as a human being I unconsciously trust the game using its basic terminology consistently.)

I recommend renaming "Primary" school to be "Active", and "Secondary" school to be "Inactive" or something similar to make this obvious.

Don't you hate it when you wake up in the morning and your crystals ar-gon ?

Sorry about that. But the more I play warframe, the more I see Jojo reference.

DE, can we get a death report of some kind? It's not fun getting nuked in less than a second.

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 08:06 AM PDT

So I'm doing an arbitration. A pack of Corpus mods turns the corner and I'm dead before I can even press mouse 1. I have no idea why, no idea how, and to make matters worse, I stick around for the end of wave 10 and I don't even get the reward - 'Not eligible due to inactivity'.

Can we at least get a report of what damaged us in our last five seconds, so we can learn from it and fix it for next time? High-level content just isn't fun if you have no idea how you died and run the risk of going down every time you face a single enemy.

Can we get Eudico's blowtorch thing as a skin for the Ignis?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 12:15 PM PDT

I'm a huge fan of the wrench hammer skin and i'd love more Solaris themed cosmetics. Think Eudico's torch thing would make a good Ignis skin?

Just like with warframes, can we please have the option to skin our prime weapons to their un-prime versions?

In light of the recent NW mission, i would like to again request a Helios precept for scanning plants

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 09:21 PM PDT

If it wasn't needed before, it definitely is now. Scanning enough plants for three apothics isn't the end of the world but it does get super tedious.

Pls DE this isn't the type of farming I play WarFrame for.

Give us a precept so he'll keep scanning plants after we get them fully scanned.

Do not do Index or 40 round defense from Nigthwave!, they are broken/bugged

Do not do Index or 40 round defense from Nigthwave!, they are broken/bugged

They are bugged, after you reach 40 round or finish index it will say that you did it but when you check Nigthwave standing it stays same as before

This is just a paint in the nuts, I Don't know how DE was able to mess this up so bad.

Why are coolant raknoids immune to almost every ability? What's even the point of having abilities anymore?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 12:19 PM PDT

I did the exploiter orb for the first time today, after a long break from the game.

I was really excited going in, I knew it had some cool cinematic moments, and I was looking forward to finding different frames to use to take it on in different ways, as I had heard that this boss wasnt just "use buffing frames and kill it instantly" (due to having to handle coolant and such). I thought DE had learned from the previous 4 big bosses that played out exactly like that.

    I was wrong.

The Exploiter being immune to everything makes sense. But why in the world are the adds immune to everything? If they were effected by more abilities normally, then it would open up tons of different options. You could run CC frames to slow them down, AoE frames to kill them quickly, or debuffing frames to make both easier.

Making them immune to abilities like Peacemaker I could get, but why are they immune to Bastille? To Magnetize? To Chaos? Ensnare? Condemn?

It feels like the developers are going out of their way to make only self-buffing frames useful for these activities, and I don't understand why. We have an enormous roster, and part of the excitement of it is being able to find a frame you like to play and using it to take on different challenges.

Sure, a meta would develop, CC frames probably still wouldn't be optimal, but at least you COULD make an impact with them. I was 2 manning it with a friend of mine, and I can say that it would've been a lot easier if I could've used Bastille or many of the other abilities to slow enemies down, since I wasnt familiar with where they were spawning from.

The fight isnt hard. It has other issues, but it has redeeming qualities too. But please, DE, i just want to be able to use my abilities in boss fights, let me use what makes my frame of choice unique, instead of making frames like Inaros the best solely because of your base stats or possession of a personal buff.

Every single one of these boss fights invalidates half the casts' ability pool. Let us experiment, have fun, and find the meta as a community, instead of just making most frames useless as a developer. I feel like my agency as a player is almost completely gone in the arsenal when preparing for these fights.

To ANYONE reading this, thank you.

    Posted: 24 Mar 2019 05:41 PM PDT

I'm a fairly new player, and I was afraid of how veterans would take to me not being familiar with all the mechanics. For example, in Destiny, it's very easy to frustrate the people around you when you're sticking your toes in end-game water. But not Tennos.

Warframe's community is by far the best in any game I have ever played. Today, I was given a riven mod for free (well not technically, I gave him a cracked bronze mod in exchange) and this guy carried me through the sabotage mission in the Derelict to get me Lephantis Nav Coordinates. Then, he told me what loadout I should use, and carried me through Lephantis so I could complete my star chart. Also today, I was invited to a clan by a mastery rank 17 (my mastery rank is 5) and he did some low level missions with me so I could get to the Void. A couple weeks back, someone else used his fully upgraded Thief's Wit to help me scan cephalon fragments in Mars. These people didn't have to waste their time helping out a helpless Tenno like me. But they did.

This community is amazing. It's so wholesome. I love it so much, and Warframe is now my favorite game because of it (and I haven't even stepped foot in Fortuna!!!). So if you're reading this, thank you for making the Warframe community the amazing place that it is, and I hope to run into you as I continue my adventures with Space Mom.
