DE Should Update the Warframe App Posted: 15 Mar 2019 12:12 PM PDT Ever since the Nightwave update, the notification system for alerts in the Warframe app has been rendered useless, since only Gifts from the Lotus are the only alerts that appear. When DE adds the Nightwave challenges to the app (which I'm still waiting for), they should also, first of all, keep the original notification system for the alerts (in case there's a gift from space mom) and second of all also add notifications for Nightwave challenges. I know this idea may sound a bit stupid, since Nightwave challenges don't pop up spontaneously like alerts did, but it would still help as instead of having to open the app, wait for it to load and log in, then find the challenges tab and click on it to check the challenges (which I presume will be how they go about implementing the challenges for the app), we would only have to periodically scroll through the notifications on the mobile device until we find the notification. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]

DE, Please Make Coolant Raknoids Respect Warframe Abilities. Posted: 15 Mar 2019 07:56 AM PDT Title. I've run through the Exploiter Orb fight a couple times using my favorite frames and each one of them has been frustrating, to say the least. All because every single enemy involved in the second phase ignores abilities critical to a frame's role on the field. You like Nidus and think he'll be good against a boss utilizing lots of trash mobs and it's critical to prevent them from reaching a certain spot? Nope, the Boss' minions don't give a shit about half of your abilities. You like Garuda and think her invulnerable shield would work well to tank the high-damage projectiles while using the pounce for added mobility? Nope, can't let you do that. You think Limbo can be of some use by banishing the coolant carrying spiders and preventing them from giving Mommy her medicine? Good one, nope. Hell, maybe an Trinity's EV will bring a little utility and let you support the team with some extra energy. Tough luck, dear player, we've designed this boss fight to be executed in a very specific manner and can't have you getting creative with all the interesting abilities we gave you. Please, DE, just let us use targeted abilities on the Coolant Raknoids. They're not nullifiers. My Garuda has absolutely no trouble jumping on a Jackal to tear the mechanical life-essence from its hull and hurl it at the nearest group of mooks who've never heard about spacing. Why is she suddenly having difficulty here? Unless the Exploiter Orb is named that because she found a way to exploit the game code, her minions shouldn't get the ability to completely ignore pre-established game mechanics for no reason whatsoever. My favourite thing about Exploiter Orb is the (lack of) meta it requires. Posted: 15 Mar 2019 05:10 AM PDT This boss is great, the rewards are amazing, the dialog and lore is really nice and the lack of knockdowns is the best thing ever. But I think there is one factor that makes this fight so much more enjoyable for me, and it's in the title. Taking her down is mostly mechanics based, as her actual health is low, meaning that a maxed out meta Chroma isn't needed, which is a godsend and by itself has opened up so many fun ways to tackle this boss. Her damage isn't that bad either, leading to a very loose tank frame meta (though you can slap adaptation on any frame and will probably do well). My one gripe is that the coolant raknoids are completely immune to abilities, including Mag's CC and Nova's slow, so the quote-unquote meta revolves around basic survival and killing raknoids, preferably with a good secondary weapon so you can toss the cans. This unfortunately makes cc worthless, I would have loved to see a boss that makes Vauban useful. That said, I love that basically everything is viable here as long as you have good game sense. Most uplifting of all, I found one of my favourite off-meta picks, Titania, was actually pretty good here, both at sniping the coolant raknoids and at suriviving (though my build does have Adaptation on it). Also she's invisible if you do the cutscene while in razorwing, which I found hilarious. I also like that I don't have to bastardize my weapons with obscure elemental combos. [link] [comments]
