The Duviri have been mentioned before, in Fortuna's background dialogue.

    Posted: 07 Jul 2019 09:47 AM PDT

Having read a comment here on this subreddit about dialogue that references the Duviri, I've looked up Fortuna dialogues, and found a total of 2 lines referencing the Duviri:

"Duviri? 'Holier than thou.' And have enough scratch to treat barons like concubines. That's who we're really working for, mark me words."

"Made a delivery to a Duviri pleasure lake, once upon a time. Airships positioned to blow spore from fragrant forests, towards the Magnate's dining barge at suppertime. Me? I got a boot in the left quarter acutator for staring at his wife too long."

"Transported this Duviri, once. Got talkin', told me about the... this... well whatsit... 'Nominative Determinism', what you get named steers how you turn out. Maybe that's why the Corpus name some of us, not our kin? Is that loopy?" (Courtesy of u/ViralN9, seen at 3:25 in this video.)

These quotes allow us to infer a few things about the Duviri, especially in light of the Duviri Paradox trailer:

    • Some popular theories state that the Duviri are Orokin remnants that fled to the Void and reside there, probably trapped there. The previous quotes imply that's not exactly the case; whoever the Duviri are, they're not restricted to the Void, although they certainly seem to have a presence there.

    • The Duviri are rich. REALLY RICH. Like, the kind of rich that'd make Corpus seem like peasants in comparison. They're also extremely insufferable and self-important.

    • They have some very weird philosophies on life. Nominative Determinity and all that.

Not much, but it still helps us put a few pieces together, and it can possibly give us more to speculate about.

    We're proud of you DE

As someone who started playing warframe on and off since a month after release, I have to say that I get no greater pride than seeing this game grow into the experience that it is. It has been so cool to watch it grow little by little throughout these 6 years. DE has done an amazing job with this game and has come so far from where it all began. Thank you DE for creating, and continuing to improve one of my favorite and most played games of all time.
