[OC] Baseline railjack survivability be like

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 03:35 PM PST

DE, As a Pilot can we please have this information on the UI?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 11:49 AM PST

[Suggestion] Add a resource counter in Railjack missions. Update the counter instead of having resources shown as reward popups.

Used a Grustrag 3 beacon during a grineer vs corpus invasion and they actually spawned as Allies, so I just hung with them

So it's my birthday today, and Mum pleasantly surprised me with this cake. Simple, but dope.

Why do Railjack guns have damage falloff?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 06:14 AM PST

I think that this addition is a large part of the reason why they're so widely considered to be underpowered, the falloff distances are ridiculous. First off, it doesn't make sense at all from a logical standpoint. You are in space. There is no air resistance to slow down ballistic projectiles and there is no matter to dissipate energy/laser weapons. Second, from a design perspective, in Railjack you're often engaging enemies at rather large distances. Your typical gun has damage falloff from 500-1000 meters, which is absolutely pitiful. Enemy fighters have to practically be right on top of you for there to not be falloff. The argument can't be made to prevent 5km+ sniping either, as the markers for enemies only show up in a certain range, ballistic weapons tend to have rather poor accuracy and a projectile speed, and energy weapons don't even have that much range. It just seems like a nonsensical addition that was put in just for the sake of it.

EDIT: I'm aware lasers and energy weapons do degrade in space, and there is matter to slow down projectiles, but these effects occur over several kilometers, not the 500-1000 meters standard on Railjack guns, and the degredation is not that severe

EDIT 2: Yes, Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch in space

How I Get Through the Daily Grind

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 12:16 PM PST

TIL you can actually explore derelict towers in railjack. They work as totally optional objectives and are only activated when you approach them.

There are 232 star chart nodes to farm relics on. Why does every Proxima node have a SIXTY percent chance to drop a relic instead of literally anything useful or relevant to Railjack?

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 08:02 AM PST

I'm sure somebody out there wants relics but I didn't spend 6 million credits and do all this farming to build the spaceship in 3.5 days to farm relics. I've cleared 9 of the 10 nodes on Earth Proxima and 6 of the 9 rewards were relics; with the other 3 being 100 Dirac. I bought Ivara PA, the only things in the game that I'm missing are the brand new stuff and some Kuva weapons. I don't need or want relics. Literally 25 Dirac would be more useful than another relic to add to the 1,000+ that I already have and don't use

    Drop table: https://n8k6e2y6.ssl.hwcdn.net/repos/hnfvc0o3jnfvc873njb03enrf56.html

    Drop table tl;dr: Earth 9% x 6 = 54%, Saturn 7% x 7 = 63%, Veil 7% x 7 = 63%

Edit: I'm stupid and 7 x 7 is 49 and not 63. My bad. I never could math

Vidar Reactors are too rare (2% + random stats)

    Posted: 19 Dec 2019 10:43 AM PST

The Vidar Reactors of any rank drop exclusively as a mission reward from railjack missions, with a 2% chance!!

If you want an MKIII one, you will spend ~20 minutes in a single mission for it.

According to their descriptions, they will offer you the most avionics points so you can actually slot all those super low % Rank 7 avionics.

What's even worse, thanks to DEs decision to make the parts of random stats, you can easily get Vidar Reactors with less Avionics than a Zekti Reactor, which is actually supposed to have low avionic stats.

I haven't seen any other threads about this yet, my post on the official forum just got merged into a giant megathread, never to be seen again.

Please adjust the drop rates, or limit the lowest possible stats to a higher value.
