    Something has been nerfed this hotfix, not sure if its arcanes, adapatation or armor itself but there's been a nerf.

    So you know that lua acension challenge where you stand in circle and get shot with lasers to fill up a tube of water and get endurance drift? Well I used to (like last week) be able to do that just with my valkyr 2677 armor + adaptation build, the damage was reduced so much that it would actually get rounded to 0 and I could stand there forever.

    After this hotfix on the other hand not only am I taking damage but of my two arcane graces only one is proccing at a time, it doesn't appear possible for both to happen at once anymore; Infact the weakening of my damage resistance is so severe that even with a single arcane grace going 100% of the time I actually slowly die losing maybe 50hp/s while standing in the trap... compared to it doing so little damage that I didn't even need the arcanes to stand in it forever before.

    TLDR:

    • It seems two arcane grace's can no longer stack?
    • Either adaptation or warframe armor itself has been significantly weakened/nerfed

    Edit: Update!
    So I had a vague memory of removing adaptation and still taking 0 damage with just the 2677 armor but I didn't mention it because it was a while ago and I may have been mistaken BUT I found a quote on the wiki stating that this was indeed a thing:

    If the Warframe's armor is high enough, it may even take zero damage from them due to the damage mitigation from armor

    Considering that adaptation wasn't even neccesary for me to take no damage during the endurance test in the past and now I take significant damage even with it equipped this would indicate a serious decrease in the effectiveness of warframe armor specifically has occured.

    I come to this conclusion based on armor now being the common factor between all cases.

    So with that quote I found its all but confirmed that armor itself has been bugged, however someone just commented that their Hildryn has been dying a lot more often lately too which implies that adapatation is also bugged since its a big source of durability for her shileds.

    Alternatively something may be causing frames to take more damage across the board which would effect both armor and adaptation. Perhaps DE did somemthing thats effected all sources of damage reduction as a whole? Confirmed not to be the case

    I've been reading recent patchnotes for the Empyrean Update with a sense of dread. We all know the problems that keep Empyrean, a genuinely fun mode, from being fun. Vacuum, Vidar reactors, resource costs. These require mostly numerical changes, very simple to implement.

    And yet here we are, after one fucking month, at the 2nd hotfix of the new year. Doing absolutely abysmal progress on clear cut changes the game needs.

    It seems to me from the introductions in changelog posts in the forums that there is currently a discussion raging inside the studio. There is a faction, or a person, who is pushing to keep the game in this state. Someone with power, probably exhausted from the crunch the staff experienced and scared of making the burn thru the new content too fast.

    Imho, what DE actively wants isn't money, they do not generally use predatory tactics for that. They want playtime. But the means to get it are becoming worse and worse. So, guy/gal/people hellbent on this crusade: please stop? It's actively killing the game, and even worse, trashing the good faith you have gained in years. Sure, people will inevitably burn thru content, but they can enjoy doing that or not. You may think there are no long term consequences for the second option. You are wrong.

    It's obvious: without the reactors, the resources etc, there is no point in Empyrean. But there must be a limit. Binding MOD CAPACITY to rng is absolutely shameless. DE, it's time to give less space to some voices in the team.

    Can DE please reward us for actually playing Railjack and not having us kill enemies inside facilities and ships for XP?

    I just solo'ed the highest level mission in the veil without killing any enemies, just destroying ships, and I got a huge chunk of 5 Intrinsics. Mere 5 Intrinsics for a half an hour mission. That's just absolutely horrible. DE is punishing us for actually playing the way it was intended.

    Here is a quick fix: give us XP for completing the missions. The higher the mission level, the better the Intrinsics reward at the end.

    OP didn't comment on how fast they were/weren't getting intrinsics, but about the bizarre imbalance in what gives the most intrinsics. It does seem weird that the core gameplay — popping fighters and crewships — is so unrewarding. I soloed flexa earlier today, killing 90+ fighters, 6 crewships, and 100% of the grineer inside those crewships and two objectives and all the boarding parties they couple launch, followed by a dozen breach and other assorted repairs/forgings.

    With a smeeta and affinity booster, the whole run produced a whopping 9 intrinsics. It's not weird that other stuff produces ten times as much intrinsics gain — it's weird that the most rewarding stuff is so unrelated to RJ's core game mechanics.

    DE, Big objectives in Railjack like Missile Platform and Galleon need to be Rewarding, not worthless Nuisances

    Notice how everyone and their mum farm Gian Point in the Veil. Why? Because its a high level node with no Objectives other than killing fighters/crewships. Objectives like the Platforms and Hangar are pure waste of time. They don't give any reward. All the reward lies in mission completion and drops from destroyed enemy fighters.

    Nobody wants to waste time for nothing of value.

    So my suggestion is: Have the objective completion give players valuable items. Battle Avionics. Zekti Avionics. Vidar Reactors, Engines and Shield arrays. These are locked behind ludicrously low % drop chance on mission completion or from trash mobs. So why not make them a reward for completing objectives? This would significantly incentivize players to try other missions and not just avoid anything with Objectives like the Plague(and why are there so many nodes of the same thing in the first place? Its seriously diluting the player pool)

    What if player just rush the mission for the reward and then abort when they dont get what they want? Super simple: Make them a hidden reward, only to be revealed at the end. This solution has been used so many times in the game already in stuff like Sabotage Cache, Spy vault etc. (Solution can also be applied to Sentinent Anomaly abort rush)

    DE, please don't create a whole new game mode just to default back to the same old pattern of grinding ludicrous number of trash mobs as fast as possible, and repeat ad infinitum. You have the chance to bring something different this time. Make the big objectives matter.

    It was useable with Rhino roar buffs, but now even with zekti avionic it still takes 2-3 shots if you're lucky and then I'd have to go and make more shots in engineering. In that time, I may as well just boarded it and smash the reactor.

    Yes, I know you can strip its armor and soften it up before firing the artillery gun, but again, it ends up being around the same time and even more effort than just boarding it.

    So why do we have a giant laser cannon if it all does is just slow us down?

    And for the love of god don't read this as "nerf boarding"

    We bring you another Hotfix before the weekend arrives. The first Hotfix of 2020, 27.0.9, brought a slew of Railjack tailored Additions, Changes, and Fixes (among general ones as well), of which we have been reading your initial feedback. Railjack Resource balancing continues to be a hot topic of discussion in regards to the overall Railjack experience. More to come!

    Railjack Additions, Changes, and Fixes

    • Players will now have ~3 seconds of invulnerability when exiting the Railjack or a Point of Interest!
      • This window allows for a moment to escape from the incoming damage aimed close to your location so you don't fall victim to a one-shot death.
    • Increased the refund from Scrapping repaired Wreckage to 80% from 50%.
      • A welcomed increase from feedback that still maintains the risk vs reward of repairing Wreckage, hence why is it not a 100% return.
    • Repairing a minor Railjack Breach/Fire/Electrical when a Catastrophic Failure breach is active will no longer give Health back to the Railjack.
      • This addresses numerous cases of Railjack invulnerability abuse by manipulating the Catastrophic Failure breach timer. We're looking at other ways to allow Health on minor Breach repairs/fires/electrical during a Catastrophic Failure without opening the door to this misuse.
    • Wreckage capacity now appears in the equip screen for Components and Armaments, allowing you to see how many you currently own while Scrapping.
    • Distance values on Railjack enemies will now be displayed once their name is visible.
    • Upgraded art quality for certain Grineer Installations in Railjack missions.
    • Made some micro-optimizations to the Railjack HUD.
    • Fixed inability to destroy enemy Crewships that have been hijacked.
    • Fixed the wide door in the Pulse Turbine not opening for Clients.
    • Fixed being placed outside of the Railjack level when loading into a Railjack mission from your Orbiter as the Operator.
    • Fixed control settings such as mouse sensitivity being set to non-Railjack settings when a Crewship is destroyed.
      • This was most noticeable when Piloting the Railjack during the Crewship explosion, as sensitivity would abruptly change until the Pilot seat was dismounted.
    • Fixed cases of Armament Wreckage unique stats not showing. This was due to the physical Armament not being equipped on the side of the Railjack, which then considered it not equipped.
    • Fixed Carcinnox Armaments displaying incorrect Falloff ranges in the Dry Dock stats.
    • Fixed the Munition Ammo count UI in the Railjack displaying 1 more capacity than you actually have (ie 30/31).
    • Fixed Railjack Forge not applying yield multipliers (Engineer Intrinsic bonus) to displayed craft amounts.
    • Fixes towards Ram Sleds occurring during a transition to the Dojo after completing a Railjack mission.
    • Fixed hazard markers (Fire, Electricity, Fast Travel) inside the Railjack appearing in the wrong locations when viewed in the Tactical Menu while on the Pilot seat or side Turrets.
    • Fixed missing Railjack enemy UI after exiting/returning/exiting the Railjack.
    • Fixed incorrect minimap overlay when failing a Railjack mission and returning to the Dojo.
    • Fixed Railjack enemies displaying a Rank of 00.
    • Fixed a crash while transitioning levels in the Railjack.
    • Fixed a script error that can occur when exiting the Archwing Slingshot after opening the pause menu, which caused a persistent black screen.
      • Some camera issues still persist that we're investigating.
    • Fixed some Mods displaying under the Items section on the End of Mission screen.
    • Fixed Reliquary Drive appearing to have the 'vacant' text even after completing the Key quest.
    • Fixed unlocalized Railjack recall text.

    General Changes

    • The Shedu Blueprint has been added to Cephalon Simaris' Lost & Found Offerings (only after acquisition Quest completion).
    • Increased range that the Mine Osprey drops mines from. This combined with their behaviour bringing them close to the player meant the Ospreys would only usually get about one mine dropped before hovering harmlessly near the player.
    • Removed decimals in the Arsenal stats if damage Falloff range is 1000 or greater to fix numbers overlapping and appearing messy.

    Fixes

    • Fixed Jackal and Razorback not correctly turning to face players sometimes when you get behind them.
    • Fixed Korrudo having inherited the Hirudo's Health on Critical Hits mechanic.
    • Fixed the Redeemer weapon series appearing to deal 10x Damage than it actually was.
      • This affected Arsenal stats only, in missions it did the correct damage.
    • More fixes towards Wisp movement animations issues when equipped with the Atmos and Nunchaku.
    • Fixed incorrect Energy color for the Vengeful Shockwave Ephemera.
    • Fixed Ivara Prime's Quiver ability not using her Artemis Bow Prime mesh. As reported here: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1160446-ivara-primes-1-doesnt-use-the-right-artemis-bow-texture/
    • Fixed the Paris Prime arrow using incorrect textures.
    • Fixed incorrect Energy color on the Hema muzzle flash light.

    • Fixed Eidolon Lures disappearing at certain camera angles.

    Friendly Reminder: Hydron does not require CC

    This includes Limbo's Cataclysm, Frost's Globe, Kora's Dome, Slow Nova, Vauban's Bastille, Nyx's Chaos, Rhino's Stomp, and Volt's Discharge. Most players go to Hydron to level quickly. They do not go to spend 5 minutes per round chasing down enemies. All of the above listed CC abilities stop the flow of enemies and make it increasingly difficult to quickly kill them off. You would have to literally let the enemies attack the target for two straight minutes to kill it. I realize you may be new and think that you're helping with your Frost Globe or whatever, but it just slows things down. If anything you want a Speed Nova to get it over with even quicker. If Hydron is too difficult and you find that you can only succeed there with CC then I suggest you level up at Halene, Saturn until Hydron is no longer intimidating. It is literally the same mission with lower level enemies. You also get better resources there including the occasional Orokin Cell. Again, this is a friendly reminder. I used to be the guy at Hydron doing this stuff and I wondered why people would leave at round 2. It seems that trying to explain this to players in the mission not only slows down the killing, but they typically take it as an insult and tell you to bugger off. Peace.

    How about we DON'T make the Railjack the game's center? I smell controversy.

    First and foremost: New Players cannot have a Railjack, so making the Railjack the game's "menu" would basically block out any new players from the game.

    And before you say "well let them have a Railjack", you should know they can't. The Railjack requires The Second Dream to be completed (actually War Within because of Wally but it's the game's requirements) before having a chance at being built, and that quest is very deep into the game, so new players would be BOMBARDED with spoilers before they get the chance of knowing what the fuck anything of the game is about.

    Not only that, but the Railjack requires a LOT of grinding to be built, AND a clan, even if a solo clan. You're basically asking for a late-game, actually end-game feature to be made one of the bases of the game's functionality.

    Second, we already have quests surrounding the Orbiter and Ordis which are FAR earlier in the game than the Railjack. I can't remember the names right now, will probably drop a comment with them once I can check (IRL stuff stopping me as of writing this), but I do think quests like Chroma's are pretty focused around Ordis. The War Within has some irreplacable Ordis/Orbiter bits, the Arcane Codices quest, etc. Transporting the game from Orbiter to Railjack would mean reworking ALL of these quests.

    I don't oppose the idea of more advanced players having the choice to flip between Orbiter and Railjack as the game's center and home, but things like the general relocation of the game to the Railjack or, even worse, the removal of the Orbiter entirely, which I have heard people clamor for, are just stupid.

    TL;DR: It'd be WAY too noob-unfriendly and take WAY too much effort. Insert Will Somebody Please Think Of The Children clip here.

    I want to put my clan emblem on my railjack.

    Just what the title says. I like being able to use glyphs as emblems on the railjack, but I would like the option to use my clan logo.

    Obviously DE has a massive number of things to do and fix on it and the rest of the game, but if they could sneak this option in that would be amazing. Even if I'm the only one that wants it.
