    Wisp walk animation change

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:00 PM PST

    Forum link: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1146974-wisp-walk-animation-change/page/2/

I have grand news to share with you all! Soon, in an upcoming hotfix, you will finally be able to maintain your floating elegance while wielding a Melee weapon. Yup, that's right! No more stump walking for Wisp and no more float interruptions for all other Warframes sporting the animation.

    GIF demo

As a bonus, the Shedu will be receiving the same treatment as posted here.

This is all thanks to the wonderful Elyse! Once the change is live, you can contact her on Twitter @elysegymer (as requested by Elyse herself) with any bugs you may come across.

    End of thread.

Razorback Ciphers and Fomorian Disruptors should automatically equip in their respective missions, like the Omni does in Railjack

Just a quick little QoL change that I don't think would be too tough to implement. There's probably other places this could be applied to as well, like eidolon phylaxis and infested catalyst for the Plaguestar mission.

Update on Railjack Vacuum and Loot Radar

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:00 PM PST

    Forum Thread

At this point I wouldn't mind if they just marked all Avionic drops like sentient cores. They are virtually impossible to spot in some light conditions or if you're more than a few hundred meters away.

Not an optimal solution, but I would still take it over what we have.

    [DE]Danielle:

We are doing just that in the Hotfix we have planned on PC coming up real soon! We've added permanent in-world markers on Avionics and Salvage so that you and your squad mates can't miss them - this has been a huge request considering how important loot awareness is in general, and especially important since Avionics are such a core component to your Railjack. This in addition to also adding Battle Avionics as potential drops from Elite Fighters in Deep Space.

As for the discussion on the Railjack's vacuum range, that is something we are currently reviewing!

I'm back to Warframe after an extended break (most of 2019). Here's what I've noticed that has/hasn't changed while I've been gone!

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:36 PM PST

The orbiter looks slightly different. A moon roof? Thanks, Ordis!

Alerts are gone! And replaced with daily/weekly tasks for some pirate radio station.

New warframes and weapons! Wisp in particular has the best assets.

    New primed warframes and weapons!

Hydroid Prime trailer still isn't out.

    Ember rework, nice!

    Wukong rework, nice!

    Vauban rework, lol.

Kubrows and non-Smeeta kavats are still garbage. Sorry little buddies, get back in the freezer.

New pump and dump MR fodder vampire kitty.

Companion stasis, loyalty and DNA degradation are still a thing. Whyyyyy?

Focus gains still dependent on convergence orbs?

Melee rework! Seamlessly swapping between gun and sword is awesome!

Maiming Strike and Condition Overload nerfed. RIP.

Profit Taker fight still a frustrating mess of knock backs, knock downs, staggers and magnetic procs.

Exploiter Orb is out. Can't fight it without a resource from a time limited reoccurring event? More fun than Profit Taker, imo.

Third Orb fight isn't out. It's still chilling in it's pond.

    Plains of Eidolon looks nicer.

    More floofs!

    Jupiter tileset rework is snazzy.

New resource Hexenon added. It's like oxium but more annoying to farm!

Kuva Liches! Looks like someone ripped off the orc generals from Shadows of Mordor and replaced the fun bits with RNG and tons of grind.

Archwings stop on a dime! No more bonking!

Itzal's blink replaced with Valk's worst ability. excusemewtf.jpg

YOU STILL CAN'T REARRANGE DOJO ROOMS. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS.

Hema research cost is still insane. Why? Seriously, why?

New Disruption game mode is pretty fun. Kicked a clown car, here we go!

And finally... Railjack. The core gameplay is a lot of fun. But holy shit is it unbalanced (super overtuned enemies and resource costs) and buggy. And good luck finding your loot drops in the vast emptiness of space.

Make forward artillery an actual railjack part so we can upgrade it by equipping MK1, 2, 3 variants. Make other models as well so you can have support and utility versions of forward artillery.

    Posted: 08 Jan 2020 01:43 PM PST

Forward artillery is quite lackluster. Even if you have a decently ranked F.A. avionic you'll be lucky to kill anything past earth proxima, and having the only form of upgrading it being avionics only reduces its escalation.

So, what if instead of being an inherit part of the railjack, forward artillery was another piece of equipment, like the turrets and ordinances. That way you could build better ones as you progress through the railchart, upgrading things like charge time, damage and max ammo.

Making F.A. a railjack part also allows new pieces of gear to be used in that slot, like how we have different ordinances. Each one would behave differently some even not being weapons but support, but all would use dome charges as ammo. Here are some ideas.

    • Offensive:
      • Mega Particle cannon: our current Forward Artilery cannon. Designed to take down crewships. MKI would be able to oneshot crewships on Earth, MKII for saturn and so on.
      • Funnel: shoots a capsule that releases a bunch of drones. These drones would attack on their own but the player would also be able to direct them by pointing their reticle over enemies. The funnels do this routine for a short amount of time followed by a significant cooldown. If mega particle cannon's use is taking down single crewships, funnels's main use would be to take down multiple fighters as a swarm, but incapable to take down crewships.
    • Support:
      • EMP: a rocket that explodes creating an EMP, creating an AoE that reduces enemy flight speed. It would also disable Exo Crewship healing bubbles.
      • Healing Nebula: give those exo crewships **** the taste of their own medicine. creates an AoE that heals allied archwings and gives them damage reduction. Long cooldown between shots though
    • Utility:
      • Giga plasma Cutter: a huge mining laser. Shoot it at an asteroid or piece of wreckage and watch loot be released in an explosion. It can generate all the resources found in current sector, allowing for extra farming post mission. it can also be used to generate the forge materials with guaranteed pustrels and cubic diode drops, allowing your team to craft more omni charges mid battle. (It shouldn't be able to generate more than 10 carbides per time though, that would allow for infinite farming).
