A thought, Cetus is most likely doomed in a few generations time

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 01:31 PM PST

So for players who generally ignore cetus, The town is basically a riverside city in a small corner of the plains of eidolon. A few years ago an infested meteor crashlanded onto the plains and caused infested to spread throughout the plains for a time, resulting in a tenno led intervention to cleanse the infested boil that resulted from the crash.

So it's all good right? Well... not so much, you see, Cetus is doomed in probably the most awful way possible; multi generational infection from potentially infected groundwater, animal products, and the regenerative nature of the boil which makes habit of gracing the plains again every 2-3 months or so.

You see as revealed during our assembly of our railjacks, the very rocks and soil of the plains is infected, Pustrels, buried beneath the soil each a small nugget of infested biomaterial. And, while each one may be harmless in small quantities and once refined into products like revolite, what about very large concentrated quantities, in say, a space roughly the size of a national park?

I think, given the largest infested are semi sentient and clearly capable of rudimentary to moderately clever tactics, that the infested boil that landed on the plains is playing the long game, devoting half its time to regenerating to distract the Osterons and Tenno, spreading further every time it regenerates and subtly infecting and corrupting wildlife, ground water, and other natural resources around the plains of eidolon, making the pustrels the foreboding shadow of a full on infested outbreak that threatens, in several generations time, to consume Cetus and everyone in it.

.....That or i'm just going crazy grinding intrinsics, crazy enough to think up a convoluted theory that would totally make for an awesome quest to kill some massive infested entity in the depths of the plains....

[DE]Marcus: Priorities for Empyrean Changes over the coming weeks

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 10:09 PM PST

    forum link

Priority number one for the coming weeks is Empyrean. We've been gathering feedback about the update, but one that stands out is a need to tackle weapon balancing. The goal is to make your Railjack's weapons feel more impactful in every mission. As with all updates, we try to balance ahead of time as best as possible before launch. We want to improve from here.

Few Warframe Abilities unintentionally work on the Railjack itself, bringing a meta Warframe to Railjack Weapons is not a design outcome we intended (i.e Chroma does not work). Our goal here is to balance so that players don't feel they need to use Rhino's Roar; Railjack weapons should feel powerful on their own. And right now they don't. A main reason for this is the enemy Armor values are extremely high - on Dev we have halved all armor values for fighters to test that, and will send it out if it feels better!

Empyrean is still in its early stages. Long term, we look forward to further updates with new content, including the Command Intrinsic class, and more. Expect balancing across the board in the near future!

Empyrean Suggestion: Different icon for Grineer boarding ships

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 03:57 PM PST

Would it be possible to get a different icon/symbol for boarding parties ?

They're just impossible to find in a swarm of ship, a little red circle instead of a diamond would be nice.

Railjack weapons/components/mods should be marked on the map at all times

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 04:40 AM PST

I hate not knowing if I missed an important mod or weapon because the ship that dropped it exploded far away from me and I couldn't see it. Any important drop should have a marker on the map for anyone to see and pick up.

We are on space on a big playable area. Don't expect us to be able spot where tiny important items are floating around waiting to be picked up.

This for me is a big must QOL change that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later for a better Railjack experience. What do you guys think?
