Posted: 12 Jan 2020 09:14 AM PST At the beginning I was thinking of posting a video with the opinion of Rahetalius, Shy and Ashisogi of what DE should do this year, but I felt that the only thing I would do is repeat the same as a broken rocola, so I will go straight to grain. After reading this post and watching videos of people reviewing and criticizing DE's actions in recent months, especially with Empyrean and The Old Blood, I came to the conclusion that Warframe does have content that both new and veteran players can enjoy, and DE has it in front of their noses but they don't realize yet that all they have to do is polish it. Imagine Warframe is like an abandoned and dusty mansion from the 20s or 30s and DE is the person who bought it. That person has the opportunity to turn that mansion into a tourist place and remodel it a bit so that it looks like it was in his old glory days (some would find that vintage design attractive, and more striking than the modern day designs, like veterans and people who have been playing Warframe for years, and one or another new player), but instead the person (DE) remodels that mansion (Warframe) so that it has a more "futuristic" and/or design striking for the current and young audience. It's not a bad idea, but if we compare it with the competition, we would see it as one more mansion that would not stand out at all in being "unique" in its class, because there are other mansions with the same theme (with the difference that admission is free in that mansion). Personally, that mansion would have more recognition if the person who bought it did the first thing, and if it succeeds in that (which it had before and shortly after The Second Dream), expand that mansion with that "futuristic" design to call the attention of the young public and once they "chop the bait", make them curious about the "vintage" part of the mansion. Tl;Dr: Fix and improve the current content of the game, and then add new content to get the attention of new players so they see that there is much more content to know. Earlier I said Warframe does have content. What content? Let's see:
And I haven't entered into more details or say the word "Raid". If someone says that Warframe has no content, or has not played enough, or simply has not played Warframe. But obviously Warframe has its problems, of which 4 of them stand out most: Bugs, host migration, grind and RNG. I would like to talk about it, but I will leave it for future posts talking about how to improve the content we currently have and make Warframe's problems less noticeable (host migration, grind and RNG will continue to exist in the game, but the idea is to make those problems don't frustrate us, especially grind and RNG) In summary: Warframe has content and we should thank DE for all the work they have done in these 6 years (almost 7 years), but DE should think more about what they already have and improve it, not generate so much hype with what they want to do (as happened with Railjack) but show what they are capable of doing, and above all listen to us, the "losers" who spent hours and hours in the game and are the ones who know more about how to improve the game, especially their Warframe Partners that for some reason are. They are human beings as us, and they are not perfect as us, is not the same being a programmer than a gamer, so I think it would be nice to have empathy for them. I would like to know what you think. After all, both you and I are the ones who play Warframe. [link] [comments]

It's remarkable how much this community hates so much about this game, yet truly loves in anyway. Posted: 12 Jan 2020 07:16 AM PST I honestly can't think of another example in pop culture. The warframe community adores the game, most enjoy the personality of the devs, we're immersed in the story and excited for the future. But there's also so much that the community almost universally despises that seems irrevocably tied to development for reasons that are frustratingly unclear. For every Sacrifice, there's a UI "Tab for more info" button. For every Second Dream, there's a bug that's been unfixed for literal years. For every new warframe, there's a new content patch pushed too early. For every praise sung for the monetization model, there's a damning perjorative against multi-layered RNG. I actually love the discourse here, it's not cognitive dissonance, it's not idle whining by entitlded players. It's people who actually care about the game and desperately want to see it improve. People with a passion and a patience who stick through the bad for more of the good. It's... really good to see. I know this is cheesy, guys, and I'm not saying we're perfect here. But the internet has become kinda shit lately, across almost every platform and community. To see people earnestly caring about a game's development is... just nice. [link] [comments]
So I got my therapist addicted to warframe Posted: 12 Jan 2020 04:52 AM PST I've been going to my therapist for a while now, and we were talking about hobbies and such. I mentioned I liked video games and he said his son loved them, and he liked them too. I suggested warframe for his son. The next week he came back saying his son loved it. The week after he mentioned he was addicted now too. Now we talk about warframe during the sessions. Not exactly what I was expecting from therapy but whatever [link] [comments]
What if Kuva Weapons were Phylacteries? Posted: 12 Jan 2020 10:19 AM PST Okay, I know we're oversaturated with Lich suggestions and DE has shown no signs of listening, but I'm putting this out there anyways because I haven't yet heard anything like what I'm going to suggest. As we know, Kuva Liches were originally conceived as a long-term enemy. Some players are wary of the concept of a long-term enemy, because they're worried it will lengthen the grind. But it doesn't have to be that way. If Kuva Liches gave you something meaningful for each time you defeated them, and not just when you kill them permanently, then I'd say that would be much better than our current system. Here's my Idea: When you Mercy a Kuva Larvling, you don't spawn a new Lich immediately. Instead, the Larvling drops a blueprint to its Kuva Weapon that you craft. Once you craft it, the Lich is born. This Kuva Weapon is the Lich's Phylactery (EDIT: as in the source of the Lich's immortality, not a box for Hebrew texts; sorry to anyone who was initially confused), and for as long as you hold it, the Lich will hunt you. Too easy, right? Why give the player the most major reward the Lich System has to offer at the very beginning? Because when the Kuva Weapon is first crafted, it will be weak. Its Elemental Damage Bonus will start very low. The Kuva Weapon is a reflection of the Lich's power and your mastery over the Lich. As the Lich grows in strength and/or as you make progress towards permanently defeating the Lich, the Kuva Weapon's bonus will increase towards its maximum. No RNG stat rolls. When you defeat a Lich permanently, it's automatically Converted. You can only Vanquish a Lich by dismantling its Kuva Weapon, which will obviously forfeit you from claiming the most major reward the Lich System has to offer. This is useful if you want to just get rid of your Lich without having to go through the trouble of gathering Murmurs/Requiems. Lich Trading also changes. You don't trade Liches, you trade Kuva Weapons, and the Lich follows. The Lich will begin to hunt the Kuva Weapon's new owner, or ally itself with the new owner if the Lich has been Converted. Also, the Lich Tax becomes less like a long-term theft and something more like a short-term loan. Each time you defeat your Lich it returns everything it stole from you, but with interest depending on the Lich's Level. If DE makes these changes, I don't mind if DE wants to increase the number of required Requiems or something to lengthen the time it takes to permanently defeat a Lich. Even if it might take weeks or even months to defeat a Lich, you're still getting rewards the entire time you're fighting your Lich. [link] [comments]

How exactly do people want difficulty added? The options are limited. Posted: 12 Jan 2020 10:26 AM PST Follow up thoughts after reading chatter in the thread discussing the tankiness of Grineer in Veil Proxima: People have been asking for an endgame. Veil Proxima is pretty much at the end of the game. The complaints are that "they aren't more difficult, they're just tedious." Which means DE are left with very few options for making Veil Proxima enemies tougher. The usual answer is "better AI," but the implementation is never suggested. AI as in tries to dodge? Examples of that exist already, like when Arbitration drones react to being aimed at. It's annoying. AI as in has more variety of attacks and teamwork? They still have to be tanky, unless you enjoy your fights with the Grustrag 3. Bottom line is, anything with less EHP than we see in Railjack evaporates pretty much instantly, just like the main game. If anything that doesn't evaporate instantly is "tedious," but you want an endgame, what exactly is DE supposed to do? [link] [comments]
