#DEclunked - When Wisp taps her 1 ability quickly 3 times it puts down all reservoirs

    Posted: 18 Jan 2020 02:04 PM PST

Always hated this about Wisp. When you reach a new defense point you always have to press so many buttons to get all the reservoirs down for your teammates.

Would be nice if we could just quickly tap her first ability 3 times. This would save probably 12 or more keystrokes.

A longer cast animation would be fine for that too.

EDIT : I think /u/borg1611 's idea here is even better then what i had in mind.

The intent was probably to make Oxylus open up when it's following a precept, but when it start shooting or scanning, it tries to do so, but cancels immidiately, ironically only really extending when idle. Please, either fix/make some changes to it or just let it always stay in it's cooler form.

DE, if you want to introduce higher difficulty, outright buffing enemy lethality is not the way to do it

    Posted: 18 Jan 2020 02:15 PM PST

Title, seriously, I had a stroke when i read that, and so did this sub, evidenced by the front page post that had the same first sentence as this. I am all for buffing enemies and increasing the games difficulty but this specifically will hurt the game ALOT, doesn't help that for 8 days now armor on warframes was unintentionally reduced by half, proof below

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/emt0uc/something_has_been_nerfed_this_hotfix_not_sure_if/

If we want to have modes with great difficulty lets make the first 100 levels not insufferable, without nerfing any of our stuff but then have good difficulty, hear me out

First, increase base enemy armor, BUT, do not let it scale, scaling armor is one of the biggest problems with this game, already, at level 4, the minimum level of a corrupted bombard, it has 500 alloy armor, equivalent to 62.5% damage reduction, at level 53, it has 2,768.73 armor, aka 90% damage reduction, already on like the max star chart level it says fuck you to 90% of your damage, the curve gets less ludicrous and goes up only 8.5% at level 170, so already at level 53 armor wise we are dealing with the most powerful armor in the game for beefier units, for lancers we need to hit level 134 to hit 90% DR

My suggestion is to have fixed armor like warframes do, beefier enemies get a max of 80%, while less tanky enemies get only like 50-75%, regardless of level, but to compensate, buff enemy health by a decent amount, "minor" units (Lancers, moa's, crewmen) get 2.5-3x health, beefier enemies like corrupted gunners, bombards, conculysts gets 5x, bosses can go even higher to 6-10x depending on the boss, this is to compensate for our damage, if our damage gets nerfed with enemy armor i believe this wouldn't be necessary at all, but i feel this would help keep our little power fantasy alive.

And we do have an example of enemies having beefier health and less armor and being somewhat tough, empyrean grineer lancers (Kosma/Gyre/EXo), they got 16x health and same armor as other elite lancers yet take more damage at level 64 then corrupted bombards at level 110

Yes, an extreme example, but with toning it down we can make it work like that, we get to deal meaty unnerfed damage and melt through crowds but occasionally have a buff ass unit come through that actually requires effort

Next, halve the damage of enemies across the board, and don't make it scale past level 90

Now for extra difficulty, we can ask for missions past level 120, up to maybe 200, with great rewards to make these missions worth it, however after playing around with a enemy scaling calculator I came to a couple conclusions

Past level 120, enemy health scaling must be cut in half or more, as most players minus MR 25+ vets wont be able to cut it in terms of damaging these overhealthed beasts, since buffed health values could reach 1.5 million health per bombard at level 200, damage can scale again past 120, but only up to say, 150-175 ish, and not at the rates they do now, but maybe enough to make tanky frames have a difficult time at level 200

Introduce a "Mythic Sanctuary Onslaught" or "Elite Sortie" or "Elite Arbitration" with 2x the chance to earn good shit and more great rewards as well, with less trash ones, while all being levels 145-200, not a perfect solution to lack of endgame at all but a decent fix

TLDR: Make armor fixed and not scale, halve damage scaling and make it go up to level 90 max, buff enemy health in response and to not have any warframe damage nerfs, introduce level 135-200 missions with renewed damage scaling at 120-180 ish and half as effective health scaling while also introducing better and more likely rewards in said missions with those levels, for now these can be simply level 135-200 versions of sorties, ESO and arbitrations (for arbis i know you can hit those level numbers if you stay long enough, this is for the start of the game, not 1 hour in)

Just my 2 cents, if there are any suggestions or changes please put them in the comments, hopefully DE has a change of heart

Let's talk about the Akjagara real quick

    Posted: 18 Jan 2020 05:09 AM PST

tl;dr to build the Akjagara, you need a weapon with a higher mastery lock.

    I'm mastery 8.

I see that I can make the Akjagara.

    Neat.

I check the what I need for the Akjagara.

Need 20,000 creds, 2 Orokin cells, Dual Skana, and Akbolto.

I try to find the Akbolto in the market.

Can't find it with the other ak weapons.

    Go down.

I see that Akbolto is mastery locked to 9.

    wtf DE.

Not saying that I definitely want the Akjagara, just saying that DE did something really dumb.

My suggestion on rebalance enemy armor, based on Nox

    Posted: 18 Jan 2020 06:21 PM PST

We all love Nox. He's tough, he is dangerous, yet he's also very easy to kill, if you know how. DE also created a new enemy based on the same formula, the Thumpers. And we also like how Thumper is a bit tough but not too annoying to fight. So my suggestion is adding whatever armor Nox has on all of Grineer combat enemies but on the much smaller scale. Instead of covering the whole body, the other Grineer units only got one or two parts of their armor covered by that black material. You know, cost and stuff. Then of course, we will also lower the armor scaling on Grineer units (bombard, heavy gunner, ect). I will call the black armor on Nox as "Nox armor". And the higher the lvl of the enemies, the more armor parts they have. The purpose is simple: making it harder for the player to just spray bullets at enemies and kill them in mass. But making it easier for player to kill tougher units if they care to aim at all.

    _Lvl 1-30: no Nox armor.

_Lvl 31-60: each unit will have one part on their body covered by Nox armor.

_Lvl 61 - 90: each unit will have two parts on their body covered by Nox armor.

_Lvl 91 and above: each unit will have three parts on the body covered by Nox armor.

This is some of my examples:

    https://i.imgur.com/HqWm793.png

    https://i.imgur.com/2Neu1Ce.png

The pros is that this is a skill base change as it requires the player to be a bit more than aim drone and slide melee killing machine. It also allow DE to nerf the armor scaling without making it too easy to kill enemies. The downside of this change, well, it's obvious that DE gonna have to re-model all of the Grineers and and add a lot more models. And we all know how much DE love band-aid fix so anything that requires total change is a bit of alien to them so this suggestion will never pass.
