    Fair's fair.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 12:04 PM PST

I think the concept behind the new valence transfer system should be DE's go-to when creating grind for us.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 11:01 AM PST

If you don't know already, the Kuva Lich system is getting reworked and one of the things that are being reworked with it is the Valence transfer. If you have a 40% and 25% kuva kraken the combine them, you won't get a 40% but instead a 44% kuva kraken or something along those lines.

I REALLY like this change as it just seems so much fairer and grind doesn't seem random and unfair but a slow progression that we could truly work towards over time instead of having to do it all in one session. GRIND IS BETTER THAN RNG because you can see you're making progress instead of multiple shots in the dark, waiting for one to land. I wouldn't mind weapons only having 25-50% at initial but being able to valence transfer to get better stats up to 75%. Why? Because for the casual player, they have their weapons but for minmaxers, they're able to spend their time can really grind to get the absolute maximum stats.

What I'm saying is that I genuinely think that whatever big grinds we get in the future shouldn't be focused around RNG like the initial Lich and railjack weapons.

Also, with these changes, it's so much easier for DE to make our liches into a more permanent entity. All you do is make some special encounter with the lich that probably has some requirements and maybe a bit of time-gating and once you face and beat the lich on that node you get not only a special item that converts normal weapons into kuva ones but also a normal kuva weapon which has the same rng BUT thanks to the new valence transfer, even if it has lower stats it still does something. You can both choose which kuva weapon you want to grind whilst also getting others at the same time

Edit: Thanks for the silver to whoever gave it to me

Found this strange object in the void. Any clue what it is?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 09:22 AM PST

Reminder: No one is obligated to play the way you want, especially in public games.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 03:55 PM PST

If a bunch of strangers just happen to get partnered up in some endless mission, you can request that people play certain ways or employ certain tactics, absolutely. But keep in mind that they are not obligated to do as you wish. If you want people to play a certain way, or stick around for a certain amount of time, make a party beforehand and have everyone agree to the plan. Otherwise you need to accept that the only thing you can really count on is your own performance.

EDIT: Since it seems this needs a bit of clarification, I am not referring to things like going leeching, refusing to open those "friendship doors" for no discernable reason, or other such acts of blatant dickery. To give examples of what I AM referring to:

Using CC abilities. Some people hate when players use Cataclysm+Stasis, Strangledome, Tentacle Swarm and other abilities that change how you have to attack enemies. No one is obligated to not use those just because you dislike them.

Staying for less than 5/10 rounds(whatever your magic number may be) of an Endless mission. No one is obligated to play longer than they want to.

Not using abilities when you want them to. Specific example: I once had a guy yell at me to use Mesa's 4 because he couldn't handle the Infested Swarm that was beating his ass. Why wasn't I already doing so? I like using my actual guns from time to time as the gunslinger frame.

In such situations, you have one of 4 options.

1: Ask them(preferably politely) to do things your way.

    2: Deal with it.

3: Make a pre made squad and hope for the best.

    4: Play solo.

Double Edit: And just to be perfectly clear, I'm not saying anything about anyone's opinions on certain play styles or decisions. If you hate seeing Shock Motes in Hydron with a bloody passion that's perfectly acceptable. Just keep in mind that no is obligated to never use it. You either ask them to stop, deal with the inconvenience, etc.

    UI Variants: Abilities Section.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 02:26 PM PST

    UI Variants: Abilities Section.

After the UI post by Pablo, I made the End of Mission mockup. I wanted to start creating other variants of the UI, so I started with the Abilities section.

    You can see it here:

    https://reddit.com/link/ewdks3/video/rrmipll1rzd41/player

I tried to maintain the distribution of the current UI, keeping both passives and tips on both sides but making them visible at all times. The biggest change is obviously that the abilities are displayed on the center, with all their stats, as it happens now, when hovering with the cursor, their video plays where its respective icon is.

I added a "Show Diorama" button below because DE obviously wants people to see them so I don't mind the option.

Any suggestions/feedback is welcomed and any suggestions on what other sections of the UI you want me to take on will be appreciated!

So are all railjack crews just lazy as fuck now?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 07:47 PM PST

Back before I kitted out my railjack and was leeching off the work of others my job was easy to understand. As soon as a crewship popped in I was outside the railjack, inside the crewship and then popping out thirty seconds later to watch it explode and then tossing up amesha's 3 to make killing off the fighters easier while I waited on the next crewship.

    Simple right?

So what the fuck is going on with people now? Today I picked up a combination of mod drop and affinity boosters and decided it would be a good time to take my railjack out and farm void hole and some intrinsics and of the dozen groups I've had so far ONE actually had anyone willing to leave the ship of their own accord.

Every single other group of 2-3 other players acted as if asking them to get off of a turret for a minute was some sort of grave insult. We could have four to five crewships up at the same time and instead of anyone getting out to blow them up it was apparently my job as the pilot to stop dodging and shooting down crew pods, stop avoiding missile barrages, park the railjack dead center of a few crewships to continue getting destroyed by missiles, leave the pilot seat, enter the artillary seat, hope the crewship hasn't wandered out of range yet and then pray to god the fucking shot doesn't hit the crewship's engines and eat a charge or two before the crewship actually blows up and then repeat.

Am I the asshole here? When there's still fighters up that need to be chased down and mass wiped out with munitions vortex, crew pods that have to be dodged to avoid boarding parties, missile barrages that have to be dodged to avoid easy hull breaches and avionics littering the battlefield to be picked up am I the asshole for thinking that one, or god forbid maybe two, of the people wandering the railjack putting out fires or spinning around in the turrets could take under a minute to blow up a crewship or two without having to be begged?

Edit: I finally figured out how to get at least one person per mission to cooperate, now everyone on my railjack has the option of getting out of the ship and contributing or staying in the turrets and tickling the enemy ships with the default pulsar's I swapped in for mt t3 maxed out zekti apocs.

    Mods get deactivated when boarding.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 10:20 AM PST

When you exit the Railjack and then board a crewship sometimes your weapon mods get deactivated and you can't deal any damage.

Warframe mods still work since my health doesn't change and the arcanes still work, also Tenno weapons function correctly.

I've noticed it happening as a client and usually when you continuasly board crewships or when you get ejected from them, i.e. the crewship explodes with you in it.

But in general it's mostly random when you board either the Railjack or a crewship. Dying fixes it but it's really annoying since you have to waste a revive.

I'm a bit late on the UI shitpost train, but can we please get some way to see what element and % bonus our kuva weapons have in the stat screen?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 11:13 AM PST

With the announcement of being able to gradually upgrading kuva weapons by using trash rolled dupes, I decided to figure out a shopping list of what guns have the optimal element and what their bonus % is, so I could update it as I go along. I spent 30 minutes making a table in a word document, equipping and de-modding every kuva weapon to see their element and then going through every single lich I've ever vanquished to try and figure out what percentage roll I had because the game never tells you this in the stat screen. Fuck the end of mission screen, THIS needs a UI rework.

    Foundry “Upgrade”

    Posted: 30 Jan 2020 11:28 PM PST

Could it be possible to add a feature to the foundry where we can request consecutive builds of the same item? Take energy pads for example. You can build a 10x blueprint of them in 1 minute. I'm asking if we can set the foundry to build 10 10x blueprints in 10 minutes. This would allow players to occupy themselves with a mission or making a trade instead of sitting in the foundry for 10 minutes rebuilding the item every minute. I would be fine if it cost a little extra credits or if we needed to make a foundry upgrade segment. This feature would be a huge quality of life upgrade for players like myself who like to refine all of the gems and ore they mine or for players wanting to make a bunch of ciphers or other gear items. What do you guys think? Am I asking for too much?
