Posted: 29 Apr 2020 01:41 PM PDT So, its clear already that DE is struggling to make Nightwave series come out regularly (somehow). I don't know where exactly the issue is here, but if the problem is with designing new enemies/lore, I propose a solution that also helps with the complete lack of lore preservation. What is Alad V's story? What's the pacifist defect? Who are the acolytes? All of these are previous events that, without visiting the unofficial wiki, no one would know about unless they were playing then. I suggest making nightwave series that focus on these previous events. The dioramas providing the information about the event will then be available in the "Tune In" area of nightwave permanently. Of course, these shouldn't replace the new lore coming from nightwave series. If they are going to release at the current pace, this is untenable. However, revisiting old lore should allow for quicker turnaround, preventing intermissions from going on for an absurd amount of time. Perhaps alternating between new and old could allow for a more reasonable pace for nightwave. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||

Local Man Posts About Atlas Yet Again. Tectonics and Rumblers Ability Talk. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:32 PM PDT Swazdo-lah, Tenno. Resident Atlas main here, making yet another TectonicsPoor Tectonics. Quite possibly the worst ability in the game. For 50 whole energy you can summon a single wall as long and wide as an ant's foreskin. The only interplay the ability has is casting petrify on it for the bonus effect of wasting 75 more energy. Any niche the ability has comes from abusing the anemic, handicapped child that is Warframes enemy AI. The augment doesn't exactly moisten the loins either. Let's polish this turd. Tectonics is, in theory, a defensive ability. Simply keeping the same name, why not replace this with a defensive buff ability. Casting this ability on yourself or allies turns them into what is effectively a proximity mine, summoning up to 3 impact based stalagmites that deal damage and stuns enemies within 5m to 10m of you for the duration of the ability. This would turn Atlas and his Allies into metaphorical rolling stones, passively CCing enemies in melee range as you pass them, rewarding increased mobility in the ever increasing pace of the game. As for ability Interplay, petrified enemies could reward even more Rubble and/or health orbs when killed in this ability radius. This is certainly, I believe, a modest suggestion for an ability so awful that complete removal from the game is preferable than casting it even accidentally. Let's move on. RumblersCertainly in a far better spot than Tectonics and yet, these Stone Golems would do more damage if they took a feather to Grineer taints. This is certainly even more embarrassing for Atlas when Wukong the Monkey Dongtm has a 25 energy ability that does everything Rumblers can but better. Rather than a complete ability change, however, this one may be salvageable. Consider the following; allow rumblers to be affected by and contribute to the combo counter multiplier. Yes, even up to 12x damage. With no mod scaling unlike Landslide, this shouldn't be broken enough to fall into the dreaded turret category DE shys away from. The interplay speaks for itself, as this would allow you to passively increase your combo to benefit your Landslide ability. The cherry on top for new and improved rumblers; They cast your petrify ability radially for half your range and duration once their timer runs out. This speaks for itself as well. Atlas is effectively a caster frame without the caster energy pool. Allowing Rumblers to be multipurpose for their steep energy cost would go a long way in bringing his kit together. Thats ItAt the end of the day these are all modest proposals for a Warframe that has long struggled to etch out a full identity beyond caving in skulls like a madman. With Baruuk cutting into his niche as a Brawler, these would help better define Atlas as THE Stone Titan. As always, thoughts and criticisms are welcome TL;DR: BOLD TEXT Edit: Had to change title. Posted: 30 Apr 2020 05:02 AM PDT You know, like converting all Galatine-exlusive skins into heavy blade skins and whatnot. Don't think it should be that hard, since melee weapons share the same animations within their respective class, and it will benefit both players and developers since opening up those exclusive skins to be used on the weapons people enjoy more will only encourage players to pay money or play the content that rewards them. I personally would really love to be able to put Conclave Jat Kittag on my Fragor Prime / Kuva Shildeg - weapons with much better stats that don't rely on a silly gimmick; or apply Galatine Majesty tennogen to my Gram Prime.
