Appaerently, trying to farm for steel essence will get you tradebanned. Posted: 14 Jul 2020 07:59 AM PDT No, this is not a thread asking for a lift of the tradeban, I've already sent in a ticket and I'm expecting the usual, copypasted message and to be ignored. I'm posting this to simply shed some light on DE's broken system and how steel path with increased enemy spawns and additional boosters has made it much much worse. These are the mission results from a 1 hour and 30 minute mission on Ophelia. https://imgur.com/a/jHTYOYG For anyone that wants to farm steel essence somewhat efficiently, long missions are basically a must. Since for some reason we still have to wait at least 30 minutes for eximus spawns to slowly start ramping up, and then finally at 1 hour in to the mission they start to cap out. But for "security" reasons, players that have "abnormal" mission results get restricted from trading for 2 weeks, because yes, lets ban the players that want to farm efficiently, that makes perfect sense. For the record, I had a dropchance booster + normal booster active and if i counted correctly i got 8 affinity buffs, which is slightly below the average. If you math it out you're supposed to get a buff every 10 minutes on average. Please DE, please.. take a good look at the system that you've set up for this, because it's not even funny anymore at this point, it's just simply annoying to constantly having to deal with this, and support refusing to do anything other than copy paste the same message to every person that sends in a ticket about it. Be careful running long missions. Posted: 14 Jul 2020 02:26 AM PDT okay, so originally I wasn't going to write a post about this because I assumed that it would be dealt with swiftly, due to the lost revenue/backlash of banning loads of players for no real reason. I Was wrong. So, for anyone who isn't aware. If you decide to run an """"ENDLESS"""" mission for too long (usually 3 hours +), due to the badly coded anti-cheat, you can be hit by one of two things. Outcome one is that you get trade banned for 2 weeks whilst a staff member "reviews" your recent mission activity, which has happened to me personally twice. Option two is a permanent suspension until 2035 that you cannot dispute. Maybe due to DE's new "Zero tolerance policy"? I have seen many of my friends banned permanently, without possibility of a dispute (Because the support system is objectively bad, but that's a topic for another post). Players should NOT be scared to run """""ENDLESS"""" missions, DE. This is absolutely ridiculous, and needs to be addressed ASAP. P.S. this is happening on all platforms from what I can tell. EDIT: the 2 week trade suspensions appear to be caused by exceeding certain recourse/item counts coded into the anti-cheat system (getting 1,001 orokin cells when it flags at 1,000, etc) and the Perma bans occur if you gain enough trade suspensions. This is bad, and should be addressed and changed to a system that more reliably flags exploiters and hackers instead of innocent players. EDIT 2: PC patch notes include "Fixed an issue with protective measures in The Steel Path mode being unoptimized (any accounts impacted have been cleared for Trading)". Not sure if this actually addresses this post's concerns or not. Would be nice to see an official response. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Jul 2020 12:17 PM PDT So! With the new Panthera Prime release, I'm ecstatic that my favorite primary is getting a prime version. The primary fire feels great, and I love the new radial damage, but the secondary fire is still plagued by an issue that has stuck with the base gun for a long time. Basically, the secondary fire- the hovering sawblade- is coded as a beam weapon (you can equip beam weapon mods on it, too). However, most beam weapons fire at a rate of 12 to 16, while the panthera starts at just 2.0 for its beam function. A side effect of this is that it has some serious hitreg issues- you can have the blade collide with an enemy, splatter blood from them, and still wait half a second or so before it actually does any damage. Video demonstrating the inconsistent hitreg Adding speed trigger helps alleviate this issue- by making it register hits more often- but having consistent hitreg on your weapon shouldn't require a fire rate mod. Tl;dr Panthera's secondary fire is a beam and only fires at 1/6th the rate of normal beam weapons, so it can visibly splatter blood w/o dealing damage [link] [comments]
