Posted: 05 Aug 2020 11:57 AM PDT Before steel path, 99% of warframe could be done with just about any half-assed loadout so long as the player knew what they were doing. This created an illusion that the game was much more balanced than what it really is, because even max level simulacrum doesn't put the same kind of stress test on the player that steel path can. The farther you get into steel path, the more blatantly apparent it becomes that not everything is made equal in warframe. Steel path has forced me to discard certain comfort mods and really made me crack down & optimize the builds I have, and once I did that, I began to see some frames and weapons begin to fall through the cracks. Now this might not be new information to some, since these levels COULD be reached before in long, long survivals. However now that this difficulty has become easy to access, I think both for devs and players, a sense of game balance is going to become much more acutely tuned. Some things that might be considered strong in normal star chart actually tend to fall off in steel path from what I see. In normal star chart, weapons like the catchmoon which are valued for it's ability to shred hallways, actually start falling off because it can start to struggle with armor. TLDR: Because steel path puts a greater stress test on loadouts, it becomes increasingly apparent to see what needs to be buffed or rebalanced, which is something we couldn't see on the original star chart. Does anyone else still have PTSD from breakable windows in Corpus ships? Posted: 05 Aug 2020 02:04 PM PDT I still find myself flinching every time I shoot near a window in the remastered Corpus ships. I hope this feeling of dread near Corpus windows goes away soon. [link] [comments]

An Orbiter:Infestation skin would be awesome. Posted: 05 Aug 2020 02:29 PM PDT Other than the internal of the landing craft, a skin that changes the Orbiter and stuff in it to be made of infested biomass. The Forge could be an infested transparent egg with a hologram of what's being made on the inside. The Arsenal could have infested arms on either side as if they're piecing together your load out. The doors could open like an infested eyelid. Go one step further and you could replace Ordis with Jordas or the Helminth. [link] [comments]
