    Many annoying mechanics are implemented due to extreme player power. Time gates, low drop rates, ability immunity, status immunity and such all attempt to get around the problem of power creep without actually addressing it.

    Player power has gone through the roof, in both mechanical and numerical sense. Enemies in the game are either CC'd into submission or killed in a second, leaving absolutely no space for strategy or skill. Even if DE design enemies to have smarter AI or unique mechanics, these will be promptly ignored in the cacophony of one shot weapons and 70% slows. Players are too strong, even for a power fantasy game. Sure many people enjoy that fantasy for a while, but when you experience it every day it soon becomes dull.

    Let's look at the scale between MR0 to MR30; the difference is doing between 10 to a million damage per second, and in modern Warframe (such as the recent Arcana update), DE will try to hit a middle point, leading to content too difficult for new players and too easy for veterans due to how large the difference in power is. Subsequently, that content that took months to develop gets rushed through in a day.

    IMO, numerical power needs to go down to lower this gap between new and older players to a less extreme level. Mechanical strength of frames need to go down to actually have enemies be a threat rather than an obstacle. The last time we got a mechanically interesting piece of content was the Glassmaker fight, where player power was completely removed.

    I do not believe that any amount of bandaids that DE tries to implement, be it invulnerability phases or nullifiers will ever solve this issue. So long as players are too powerful, time gates and low drop rates will always be the game's future.

    I've grinded so many painful grinds in this game, Isolation vaults were one of the worst ones, and DE is trying to make us do it all over again. I'm speechless honestly.

    (For context: You can only play the new bounties if you have completed the isolation vault associated with them first, meaning if you want to play 3 new bounties, you have to rerun the 3 isolation vaults each session before you can do so. This also seems like a big matchmaking problem)

    Seriously, does DE not remember how fucked Isolation Vaults were for like the first month after Deimos launched? How absurdly low the drop rate for Necramech mods were, or how low the drop rates were for Necramech parts and Scintillant? Oh lets not forget about the fact that Necramech parts were falling through the ground. All this combined resulted in a large part of the community rerunning these bounties endlessly until we all complained about wanting to end the suffering.

    Isolation vaults are probably some of my most hated content because of how much absurd grinding there was associated with them, and DE wants me to do them again 3 times per session just to get the new content? This is probably one of the first times I'm just saying "Fuck off" and I'm not going to do it until something changes. I'm absolutely done with how repetitive and mindless Isolation vaults have been and I'm not going to do them again.

    The new Iso Vaults are obtuse and take FAR too long

    For those that aren't aware, to access the new vault bounties added in Arcana, you have to first clear the vault out with the old Iso bounties;

    • Do Iso vault tier 1 to completion
    • Visit Mother just outside the entrance to this first vault to get the new bounty
    • Clear the same vault you just did with new missions
    • Do Iso vault tier 2
    • Visit Mother outside that vault
    • Clear vault 2 of infested
    • Do Iso vault tier 3
    • Visit Mother outside that vault
    • Clear vault 3 of infested

    • Do old Iso vault bountys up to the tier you want, you can skip Loid phase (though everyone needs to go outside to continue)

    • Visit Mother outside the vault

    • Clear infested inside the vault, hope you get a drop

    • Rerun clear infested if you want

    EDIT: For pub groups this is going to be a nightmare of people wanting to do different tiers and different bounties. Now you have 3x vaults only, 1x vault + infested, 2x vault + infested, and 3x vault + infested, all from ONE bounty option in Necralisk. Please DE, split these up to make them easier to matchmake.

    This whole process can take over an hour. The old Iso vaults now take longer due to Otak having to travel through two tiles and Mechs being more durable, and the new bounties have timed stages lasting 2.5minutes each, or require killing infested in tiles that rival Uranus defence in breaking their pathfinding.

    All this for only a chance at a few weapon parts. The BPs don't even seem to be available anywhere at all.

    If you value your time I strongly recommend avoiding these bounties in pub groups until they get some severe adjustments, as right now they are simply not worth it. If you're solo or in a premade that knows all the above, then go ahead.

    Steel Essence reward for clearing planets

    It seems the Steel essence reward for clearing planets has been increased from 2 to 25. Is there any plan to refund early adopters ("early adopters", yes) who completed the star chart before the update? We got only 28 SE while people completing them from now on are going to get 350 SE, that's a 322 difference which, given the amount of SE farmable now is reduced by a lot, is a huge difference.

    Certain PC players in certain Clans can generate Ignis Wraith Blueprints for Credits. Whilst you will still need to craft the Detonite Injectors, it's not something you should waste your ducats on.

    I currently have about 20 to give away for free to anyone MR9+ who doesn't have it mastered and get more constantly. The MR restriction is simply because the game won't allow me to trade it to anyone lower than that. You will just need to stick a random trash mod your side since the Game doesn't allow 1-sided trades.

    Feedback on the Khora change in Deimos Arcana

    Well, it finally happened. A bit surprised with the timing, thought it would be in the december revisit instead, but here it is from the patch notes:

    Khora

    • There is now a minimal Line of Sight check on Whipclaw's radial damage.

    For those unaware, here's a quick recap on how Khora's Whipclaw worked prior to this update:

    You would press your 1 and shoot out a "projectile" with a range of up to 28 meters, which upon contact with anything would detonate in a radius of up to 10 meters. This detonation damage is the real damage component of the ability, and it would go through any numbers of enemies and all terrain and walls, regardless of line of sight.

    Was this too good? Probably. Killing enemies through walls is the best form of defense and clearspeed. She really did deserve a nerf, however the current implementation has some issues. The LoS requirement is from the point of impact of her whip.

    This results in scenarios where you can stare a group of grineer in the eyes as they yell TENNO SKOOM at you, throw the whipclaw near them and hit a small pebble, the edge of a fence, or any small and nearly invisible dent in the terrain. The damage then won't go off, and with khora's lack of defenses outside of shield gating you will probably take a lot of damage, perhaps fall over and die.

    Artistic representation:

    This grineer survives by the power of tiny rock as it breaks LoS from the impact, even though khora herself has LoS on him. Bad

    My hope would be for a change so that: "If either the player OR the whipclaw has LoS, the damage will be applied". The either or being very important here, as that way it can still kill through intersections in corridors and such, and it would be really, really dumb if an explosion wouldn't hurt after travelling 10 meters through thin air.

    These 2 grineer die as they are both in LoS of the impact. Good.

    There does also seem to be some weird interactions with her ultimate, Strangledome. Sometimes the damage from hitting it with whipclaw damages all the enemies captured by the dome, sometimes not. Haven't figured out anything consistent on that yet.

    Question: what is your average time doing all 3 Iso Vaults + their sequels? Is it just me, or is 1h 30m a bit too tiring, especially to casual players?
