    Hello Tenno!

    There's no preamble that can articulate the impact COVID-19 has had on the game industry. Between game delays (sometimes multiple), cancelled conventions, and more, this year has been very strange.

    And we have embraced a constant storm of this strangeness. Because of COVID, our team's usual vacations simply didn't happen - where would we go? Our living rooms?

    And then the truth has set in: we have basically an entire team with vacation time ready to go in December. We have worked our butts off this year, and we are now all balancing weeks of unused vacation that will inevitably overlap.

    Rather than work on a feature-defining important Railjack Update with even less staff than usual in December, we are moving it to 2021. This is for the community's sake, and the dev's as well. 2020 has been a test of resilience for all of us, and has more than ever emphasized the need to take breaks. Our team will be spending time (safely) with their families during this holiday season should they choose so, and we hope that you all have the chance to do so as well.

    We will close off 2020 with a little serpentine Alchemy on PC. Expect Lavos in a mini-update that tests out a new feature in a limited setting: Necramechs in regular missions! Those of you who played our Survival event in 2013 may be used to this type of release (small test before wide release). We will provide more details on this soon - we're airing a special time Devstream to cover all this and more (check that embedded image or convenient hyperlink!)

    The Kuva Lich Hunter Collection should be dissolved and turned into an armor bundle.

    Kuva liches have been a thing for an entire year already. Sell the Armor stand alone as a bundle, and forget the rest.

    At this point, I don't think anyone is interested in buying Radiant Requiem Relics, nor the Parazon Reqiuem Mods. Don't even get me started on the 7 palettes which consist of desaturated pre-existing palettes. I could understand the existence of this bundle when liches were new, but again, considering it's been a year— it just seems pointlessly over priced.

    Update Oberon armor strip to better fit him in Steel Path.

    Oberon's armor strip combo works on enemy's base armor, that means in normal mission at 50% armor strip, Oberon can fully strip armor with 2 Reckoning casts and obviously 1 cast at 100%.

    In Steel Path, enemy's armor are multiplied by 2.5 but their base armor stays the same, which means at 50% armor strip, it would take 5 Reckoning casts to fully strip armor or 3 casts at 100%.

    Can we get an update for Oberon armor strip calculations so that there isn't such inconsistency with normal and SP enemies?

    Cracks in Deimos Bounty Changes & Fixes:

    • Added ABCDE markers to fissures to help direct where you want to go next.
    • Added a blue waypoint to the Emitter carrier to allow all players to know the position of the carrier.
    • Fixed a crash that could occur after a Host migration and the Emitter runs out of battery.
    • Fixed script error related to the Emitter Containment Unit.

    Optimizations:

    • Made numerous micro-optimizations to GPU performance on all platforms, particularly when running at high-resolution.

    Changes:

    • Removed the 'Mend The Family' option from Grandmother during the Heart of Deimos Quest, which could result in an inability to progress the Quest.
    • Increased the projectile speed of the Arquebex.
    • Updated some texts referring to Orokin Derelicts instead of Deimos.
    • Increased the size of the rear weakpoint on enemy Nechramechs.
      • This should make hitting the Necramechs more consistent with what you see.

    DirectX 12 Fixes:

    • Fixed crash that could only occur in DirectX 12 when loading into a level with water, network latency, and a CPU with many cores.
    • Fixed crash on shutdown typically caused by 3rd-party overlay software

    Fixes:

    • Fixed Clients losing all Necramech Affinity gained in mission after a Host Migration.
    • Fixed a crash when casting Vauban's Flechette Orb.
    • Fixed a crash when a Vulpaphyla deactivates Martyr Symbiosis.
    • Fixed a couple crashes that could occur during a Disruption mission.
    • Fixed a crash when Garuda activates her Bloodletting ability.
    • Fixed a progression stopper in Isolation Vault Bounties where enemy Necramech's wouldnt respawn after a Host migration occurred.
    • Fixed re-naming Dojo Transporter after placing it causing it to disappear.
    • Fixed Luminous Dye not highlighting the Flagellocanth.
    • Fixed Tonkor requiring an Orokin Catalyst instead of an Exilus Adapter to unlock the Exilus slot.
    • Fixed incorrect tutorial tips in the Heart of Deimos Quest.
    • Fixed missing collision in some spots in the Deimos Tunnels Captura Scene.
    • Fixed Focus Lens icons appearing stretched when awarded from a Bounty.
    • Fixed Khora Spectors only using her Strangle Dome and no other abilities.
      • With the exception of Venari, as it is a tap and cycle ability. Venari will simply stick to her default attack mode.
    • Fixed Steel Path Incursion (Daily Alerts) nodes matchmaking with players who are doing the base version of that node and vice versa (if those nodes were unlocked).
      • This could lead to a situation where you thought you were playing the Incursion for +3 steel essence, but wouldn't get that extra reward at mission end.
    • Fixed the secondary Energy color option not appearing after polarizing Necramechs (Voidrig and Bonewidow) and modular K-Drives.
    • Fixed being unable to detonate Glaives using Heavy Attack while controlling it with Ivara's Navigator.
    • Fixed a script error that could occur when using a Garuda Specter.
    • Fixed script error when closing Warframe during the Helminth Subsume animation.
    • Fixed rare script error when clicking on a Mod Link that contains an Arcane.
    • Fixed a script error when updating your Appearance in Arsenal.

    There have been numerous time when I was looking at a syandana in orbiter thinking,"wow this looks so good," I go into a mission then it folds down and looks like garbage. Pls I just want to have wings open at all times.

    Run T1/2 vaults, skip T1/2 Iso vault, then run T3 vault + Iso vault for a 5% chance at one fscking part.. for 6 weapon parts.. ??

    Just forced time gates with shooting of some enemies mixed in, for almost an hour, per run.
    Who thought this would be a fun or a good idea?

    I have close to each of a dozen Necramech parts and not one single Damaged Necramech Weapon part. The grind is simply insufferable and seems so poorly designed that even a global pandemic isn't a good excuse for this shit.

    They need to get the crew that designed the Tridolons in to fix this.
    You've really fucked this one up DE.
