- Soo the operative sortie defence missions are bugged and this seems to have been an issue for a few years. Defence target falling through the floor resulting in a failed mission and also unspawning enemies. Looks like I’ll be avoiding any sorties with these missions from now on.

Posted: 05 Mar 2021 03:53 PM PST So I made a post about 2 days ago asking about the general mechanics of the game and if I should start playing or not because I've had my doubts about it for years by now. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly about my questions. My thoughts are: Goddamn... This game is fucking MASSIVE, the sheer amount of menus and items and quests and skins and mods is just STAGGERING. How the hell is this much content in a F2P game?! I have about only 4 hours in playtime due to a busy schedule but I can't wait to go back in and start playing again. The thought of playing through 7+ years worth of content is absolutely insane to me but I can't help being ecstatic about diving in again. DE can we give the plains and valis the deimos treatment Posted: 05 Mar 2021 09:04 AM PST After returning from a year-long hiatus and changing from ps4 to pc, I have been going through all the open worlds, and have found Deimos monumentally more enjoyable to level than the other open worlds. I feel the following changes mostly found in Deimos could greatly improve the leveling experience. Fortuna change bounty affinity gain to debt bonds (each tier gives a different tier of debt bond) and up their affinity to Deimos quantities (bounties should be the most efficient way to max standing) remove debt bonds from bounty tier rewards and add eidolon lens bp to the tier 5 bounty rewards add roaming conservation targets similar to the other open worlds (if they exist already I have never seen them) change the mining node colour so they are more obvious blue is terrible here fix the bug where ticker only offers training and shelter debt bond trades make the systems required to rank up vox solaris available for trade in the level they are needed for (getting stuck at maxed-out affinity unable to level up because rng is screwing you is bs) Plains of Eidolon reduce the size of the control zone to Deimos size and fail state for the bonus to 20% remove the drone escort or fix the bugs with it (failing a bounty because it glitches out and gets stuck is bs and it's boring regardless. maybe change to a competition kill with steel meridian like the grineer on Deimos, could possibly have unique dialogue depending on your standing with them) change plains bounty affinity gain to a token system that gets traded in, either a new currency or if it's easier fish and raise the affinity gain to Deimos quantities make cetus wisps available for trade from rank 1 onwards (this will make it easier for new players to have an amp better than the horrendous mote amp and should lower the frustration of pick up groups for eidolons) change the bonus for the capture to a timer rather than not killing anyone else (an unmodded beast companion will often kill an enemy before you can capture the target 99% of the time) Consolidate fishing spears to 2 like the other 2 open worlds (one base and one that has faster flight speed or something, maybe take a community poll to determine which ones to keep) Both increase the spawn rate of enemies for exterminate missions (standing around waiting for enemies to spawn and failing the bonus because enemies spawned too slow is silly) up the credit, endo and kuva rewards to deimos levels and replace the credit caches at higher levels with amber stars or focus lenses let me know if there's anything I missed [link] [comments] | ||

The Status System // Issues and Fixes Posted: 05 Mar 2021 01:56 PM PST Hi! Just before the meat of the post, a quick disclaimer. I don't really use reddit as you may've noticed from my account age, however I am absolutely in love with this game. I want to see the game succeed very much. Although I don't normally post about suggestions, recently I've seen DE listenin' and I figured I might as well try my luck with some changes I've been mullin' over for months. There will be a link to the original post on the Warframe forums at the bottom, although I am incredibly hopeful for some of the changes to be seen/hopefully used, so I'll definitely be checking here from time to time and responding. With that out of the way, onto the book report... Status procs are a wonderful little addition to any loadout. They make fun visual effects, and greatly improve your damage output or versatility in many cases. There are however, some very serious issues with the Status system in it's current iteration. I'll go over the issues with the system as a whole, and then issues with the individual procs/status types, and finally round it off with my suggested changes/fixes to increase the diversity of status types. As it is, in the current meta, we're really only seeing viral slash weapons with say, a magnetic Kuva Nukor to prime the enemies for melee, it lacks diversity which leads to the game feeling stale in many cases. The Issues: One of the core issues I, and many other players have with the status system in it's current state is that many of the statuses have just been left behind and their effects are incredibly miniscule. This is evident when looking at a status proc like Blast, the only effect it has is to reduce enemy accuracy. One could argue that this is helpful, but it leaves much to be desired. You have statuses like viral, that are completely dominating the meta as it's ridiculously overpowered, and multiplies your damage output by an absurd amount... and then some statuses that are just lacking what makes a status feel powerful and fun to use. Another core issue is that many of the procs don't scale beyond 10 stacks, once you reach 10 stacks your extra procs do nothing but refresh the duration. For weapons and builds that have strong status output, once you have 10 stacks of some statuses on the enemy, subsequent stacks aren't as effective, as they only serve to extend the duration. This issue is evident in many statuses, one of the main offenders being corrosive. My suggested change to address this is to give all the status procs that are capped at ten, either an extra effect that will proc when the stacks are capped, or giving a new effect that always applies when procced, like magnetic having a slight pull effect similar to Magus Anomaly that is able to sort of group enemies up a bit more. I will get into all the individual status types and the specifics of their changes below. So, something that the status system has, is that all of the base elements, all except for cold that is, have some form of damage component to their procs, with a unique little effect.
There should definitely be some uniqueness to status effects, which is very much a healthy thing, but I am of the belief that every status proc should help with damage in some form. Whether that be through de-buffing the enemy, like corrosive with it's armour strip, buffing your damage output against that enemy specifically, like viral, or just being an actual damage proc like slash. Cold and some others are left behind though... only slowing enemies or having other unhelpful or miniscule effects. Cold isn't the only status type with this issue. The Math: One final bit to address before we move on to the specific changes... I'll be getting into some math and formulas, so before that I'd like to explain a few things for anyone that isn't aware. All of the elemental DoT procs abide by the first formula shown below. The only DoT proc that currently has a different formula is slash, and it has a lower scaling per tick than the elemental procs at only 35% of it's damage per tick as opposed to 50%.
Another component to all of the damage calculations for the elemental DoT procs (except for gas following the Warframe Revised update) would be the second formula, shown below.
This second part of the formula applies to heat, electricity, and toxin, the three base elemental procs, however it doesn't apply to slash procs, and no longer applies to gas as it did in the past (which is one reason currently gas feels very underwhelming). After this second part in the calculation, there is also a bit that the damage is multiplied by faction damage mods but that's not really relevant to anything else in this post so we can happily ignore that and finally move on to the suggested fixes! The Fixes: Physical status types.

Surprised boss music still isn't a thing yet Posted: 05 Mar 2021 06:28 AM PST Seriously I'm honestly surprised some of the recent remaster of the bosses like for example the Jackel didn't get boss music at all, it really would bring far more life into those battles, I honestly feel it would give a much better first impression of the game for newer players than just empty silence, some of these bosses are so grandiose in scale and set piece like the Orb Mother or Roplalyst that it honestly just feels so out of place compared to other games. Hell I just wish there were more soundtracks that isn't just ambient background music in general, so far the only tracks I really care to listen to time and time again is Umbra's theme and The Second Dream theme, this game has massive potential for more great music considering the unique atmosphere and and lore.
