- You can only see the Corpus' mega cities in Pluto while flying with a Railjack, you can't see it from inside the Orbiter. Earth shadow effects are the opposite of that. You see constructs from the Orbiter but not from Railjack. Warframe's sci-fi is beautiful and deserves more attention to details

Dear Steve, you’re missing the point about hosting Railjack. Posted: 26 Mar 2021 01:20 PM PDT In the stream you mentioned(before freezing) we can't host in any other mode, and that you want to stay away from that. The issue, is that we now have a Ship that we get to design, level, and spec, that is for Co-op play. We can't edit or create the world we play in in any mode but railjack. We should be able to host from our orbiters/Dojo's like before and match make with the starchart option and Relays. I have dumped a HUGE amount of time in railjack, and it is my favorite content being added. I have spent money customizing my ship, and spent time getting it where I want to be. I'm a pilot, I bought the commander Emote. Let me fly people around in MY ship if I launch it from MY dojo. Thanks for reading. [link] [comments]
Since DE continues to not understand why Gunnery 10 is terrible Posted: 26 Mar 2021 12:32 PM PDT Auto-Aim is not a big improvement (on PC at least) when you can just aim and kill the ships. If they really think that Gunnery 9 makes the heat penalty not a big deal, then it isn't a big deal to remove the heat penalty. Intrinsics are supposed to be a direct upgrade. This isn't Conclave where almost everything is supposed to be a sidegrade. Gunnery 10 is NOT a direct upgrade. Not to mention, you can't turn off intrinsics. This is also why so much of the Focus Tree is terrible. Not only do most nodes not give a significant benefit, they're overwhelmingly paired with ridiculous downsides that make them net-downsides. The Focus Tree is also terrible for a whole host of other reasons, but they don't directly relate to this discussion. [link] [comments]
Railjack Feedback in light of Devstream 153 Posted: 26 Mar 2021 01:10 PM PDT They talked around a few issues, but didn't really get into the core what what I've been seeing in these threads about what actually feels bad. Things that I'm really worried that they are going to be hard stuck on and not change. Affinity: Leeches Win (Again)
I won't try to make the argument that things should be back to pre-update Gian Point levels of fast. I wish that were the case, and I took full advantage of it while it was around, but if it's the intention is to rebalance and slow things back down they really should try to fix this leeching problem. Preferably in a way that benefits all players rather than further divorcing affinity gains from railjack. It felt like an earned convenience before. Now it just feels... bad. I strongly think that the Plexus should NOT be assigned to the weapon category for generating affinity. I strongly think that some affinity from player kills on fighters should be treated as radial affinity generated for all crew equally, not different based on if you're in a chair or not. Tugboat Only Gameplay
I feel like there is a lot of breakage in the design when it comes to accommodating solo and group play. For group: Both the Grineer and Corpus missions basically feel like you're splitting between For solo: There's only so many split objectives you can put on the ship before solo play just feels unmanageable. If it became more of a mini-game of microing your crew vs coordinating with players, I'm not sure that would even be better. Sending them to do away team objectives while you manage the ship, or they manage the home team objectives while you do away team tasks. Would be neat if the Pilot crew could at least do something about the reactors being opened on Grineer missions. Playing On Public
I've become much more hesitant playing on public now than before. The repair crew is just so reliable and great if there's ever a need for it and the gunners are solid for dealing damage. It was really annoying dealing with pugs who spam your Flux before the update, but I'm not sure it's any better now that it hard limits your choice for a viable warframe to put on the chair. The buff to the weapons feels pretty alright, too. Having less dome charges feels pretty bad, too. The much lower Revolite pool can make breaches + other damage much scarier to deal with, but that problem goes away with your first hired Engineer. Aside from some very organized play to split 3 objectives with, I think the max number of other players I'd even want in a run would be Host+2. Ordnance being per-player feels great though :V Personal take on the matter: My biggest concern with this update was that they were trying to "fix" the content island problem and instead just made it a different kind of island. I got everything I need out of Railjack and now I see no reason to ever go back to it. At least, unless the game forces me to use it (like in the upcoming quest) and then it's just going be an afterthought again. I got the new mods, the new stance. I got the new mastery fodder Penta and new Nautilus sentinel (looks cool, but I don't see a use for it). I maxed out 2x of all the new Zetki weapons, got a max rank of all the platings, maxed out the new Zetki reactor as well. Maxed out all intrinsics with 512 spare for Command 10 when that finally happens. Corpus crewships are obnoxious to try and farm so I won't be actively trying for 2x max of all Lavan/Vidar copies of the new weapons. That's it. I'm done. Endo gain is meh, Affinity gain is gone, gameplay loop feels more tedious, pugging feels worse for me. The most engagement I'm going to have with this content now is checking on Ticker every once in a while to hopefully get an ideal 10-stat roll on a character and/or from the faction I want. I'll help out friends or newcomers who still need progression, but I have no personal motivation to go back. Maybe Void Storms will be the call to action it needs? DE picks some really weird hills to die on sometimes. I really don't want Railjack Revisited to end up like the Univac discussions. I think the Affinity leeching problem is just a massive problem throughout the entire game and that system could stand some shaking up in general. [link] [comments]

Is it just me or is companion leashing broken? Posted: 26 Mar 2021 07:56 PM PDT I noticed my companions dying more than usual so I looked at what was happening more carefully and saw that companions don't follow/TP to the player anymore. I've been running pvulp and venari if that helps [link] [comments]
If Stalker shows up in Steel Path, please have him drop something extra Posted: 26 Mar 2021 04:30 PM PDT With his higher level and adaptation, he's much more annoying to fight, and for hardly any reward. He nullifies abilities by breathing, locks down the room, and stops acoloytes from spawning- which is more of a blessing considering that you wouldn't want to fight both at once- but it means your essence drop is now delayed. I think at minimum he should drop 2 steel essence, maybe 3 considering his strength. If not essence, then maybe riven shards. Yes I am salty cause he just showed up in infested survival and was a pain, now extraction is ready and i'm waiting for his accolyte. [link] [comments]

Normal missions could and should have railjack's seamless mission loading Posted: 26 Mar 2021 08:41 AM PDT Right now in railjack, you'll notice there are no loading screens, instead this is replaced by a void wormhole that transports you to you destination. I personally think this is my favourite detail in the game. Doing away with loading prevents immersion from being broken between missions and makes me feel like I'm in an actual real space with real locations and places to go, rather than going from fake scene to fake scene. I have an idea for a similar thing in normal missions. It seems to me like the orbiter is divided into two sections, the liset, and the main body of the orbiter. Now that I think about it, the liset seems to be nothing more than a flying pod that returns to the orbiter, which does include the front room, but personally I feel like It would be much cooler if the front room was instead a shuttle that split off from the main ship instead and perhaps the lisets were made much bigger to show they can fit an entire room, not just one tenno, or just done away with? I also think it's about time that the ship you pick determines what the front room looks like, but that's for another day. Moving on to the plan, if lisets are big enough to fit the front room, I think that they should do the following when you travel to a mission:
This would pretty much be a tenno version of the railjack boarding parties, for anyone struggling to imagine, you would literally attach your front room to the side of a ship like a barnacle, and then breach the walls, getting in, with no loading screens at all! For ground missions, you ship would just park instead, but you would still of course walk from your ship to the ground mission. I also understand that this is identical to how loading works in open world areas. Personally I love it, as it makes you feel like the actual location is right outside the hub area, when in reality they are two different maps. I know this seamless loading can be janky, which is why I suggested a few things to pad it out, as well as allowing the player to listen to the mission brief so they aren't bored, just like open world areas. I'm assuming that the wormhole, the docking/parking of your ship and the door opening would be more than enough time for everything to be loaded in properly, and would make sure there are no awkward silences between the mission announcer and the mission itself.
