    Host migration has to be #1 priority before crossplay release

    New War - Alad V isn’t joining the sentients

    So I've been seeing a lot of people discussing the idea that Alad V will be siding with the sentients in the New War, based on his dialogue in the New War mission we got to see parts of, where he talks about how they'll be "under new management", but I think this is a misinterpretation of what he's really saying here.

    In the Veso segment, Alad is telling him to give him access to the fire-control systems to make them stand down. Fire-control systems are used to operate large cannons that require complex computations to be able to track, target, and fire upon enemy ships. The problem being that these systems are often entirely automated, meaning that if the sentients are able to take control of the fire-control like they do a lot of the corpus proxies and MOAs, they would very quickly be, like Alad said, "sucking vacuum".

    Shutting down the guns severely limits the fleet's ability to fire back, but it keeps them from being hacked into firing on each other and hastening their demise. As long as the sentients can communicate with their onboard computers, the Corpus are going to have to rely on organic manpower to keep their ships alive, and that's going to mean crippling their tech-reliant offensive capabilities and keeping to a defensive footing until they can receive reinforcements like the Tenno or Grineer, or outright retreating from such engagements to a better protected position. Either way the Corpus are about to get hammered, and Alad knows this from experience. He's having to pick from the better of two bad options and hope they survive long enough to hit them back later.
