    Nyx, the solution to 90% of the game's problems.

    not a complaint, but rather, an attempt at shining a light on a warframe people seem to for whatever reason write off as useless, outdated, pointless, and whatever other expletive you can think of.

    Nyx's abilities are not necessarily PERFECT, true, but the right setup and build can make her able to solo content that most other frames simply cannot tackle on their own, all while scaling well past the freaking stratosphere.

    I will preface this by saying that I won't even bother trying to defend Mind Control, her 1. this ability needs jesus. however, the fact it sucks used to be a detriment. nowadays, in a time and age where helminth exists, this simply means you have a replaceable ability with no impact to her general playstyle or capabilities.

    in my case, I've replaced this ability with Dispensory. it generates ammo, but more importantly, energy orbs. Arcane Energize makes it so you're almost all the time getting bumped back up to maximum energy levels.

    This combines with the augment for her Absorb, which in turn means you can stay EFFECTIVELY IMMORTAL indefinitely.

    so, high-level problem #1, "how do I survive a horde of level 500 enemies shooting at me" is solved.

    her 2, Psychic Bolts, just works as a one-press-button "I do not care that you're level 2000 and have more armor than a spaceship's hull. I really do not give a damn. here, have some damage." it shits all over enemy scaling because it instantly kneecaps enemy shields (disabling shield gating for explosive weapons) and fully armorstrips (disabling the obscene 99.9% damage reduction some heavier units have late into the game, ala Steel Path). it particularly tramples all over the Acolytes in Steel Path. it isn't even a fair fight. you press a button, and they've suddenly become made of wet tissue paper, on top of losing over a third of their total EHP (shields poofed as well) and losing armor values, meaning your viral-modded weapon suddenly deals even MORE damage to naked HP. this ability alone is insane.

    so, high-level problem #2, "how do I actually kill tanky enemies fast or safely deal with acolytes" is solved.

    her 3 is also underrated. people complain that it is "bad CC" in that it won't stop enemies from shooting at you. in truth, her 3 works not unlike a very wide AoE radiation proc, where everything is hostile to everything. enemies stop in their tracks, abandon objectives, and just start shooting at eachother left right and cenrter. it isn't brilliant CC, but it does something else extremely well. STALLING. using her 3 stops an enemy army in its tracks and reduces its ability to threaten you to basically zero. enemies will no longer go after the defense / mobile defense objective, as their attention is now focused on shooting at friendlies. this ability allows Nyx to utterly stomp complicated SP content entirely solo, because the main threat (losing an objective in SECONDS as multiple enemies suddenly are dealing chunks of 10K damage per second to your defense goal just because you weren't looking) is simply gone. it also butchers up any synergies coming from the likes of ancient healers or disruptors, as it breaks aggro entirely and enemies no longer share their bonuses to perceived enemies.

    hence, high-level problem #3, "how the hell do I complete an Interception / defense solo in steel path" is solved.

    Absorb isn't a good ability, but is redeemed by the augment, basically making you a non-pacemaker Mesa's Waltz that is immortal and can still use abilities/guns. you can still do a lot with this, such as blocking bullets by standing between enemies and other targets, and mobility isn't an issue with the right melee. being immortal allows you to do things you normally wouldn't do. it's in my opinion HILARIOUS to just roflstomp an acolyte with melee as they repeatedly deal what would be deathblows to you... to no effect... while you just destroy them with your melee.

    you can also KILL with absorb, even in high levels, by first pressing 2 (disabling all enemy defenses) and if necessary proccing viral. the explosion you deal can frequently reach hundreds of thousands of accumulated damage - a firecracker against steel path levels of armor, but a nuke if said armor is stripped.

    add to the whole thing Arcane Eruption (all but guaranteeing a tileset-wide knockdown every 12ish seconds from energy orb from dispensory, and the occasional extra from Energy Generator procs from Dethcube) and rolling guard (giving you i-frames once you explode your absorb, allowing a clean getaway) and you can pretty much tackle just about anything the game throws at you. bosses are unable to kill you, you'll never run out of ammo or energy, armies or hordes pose no threat, hp scaling might as well not exist for you... it's a very underrated frame.

    TLDR: if you play solo, consider picking up a Nyx for high-level missions. you won't regret it. ;)

    So i was trying to sell my zephyr prine for 70p but no one was buying it i was their for hours and then someone messaged me saying my advertisement for it in trade chat was funny and he said how long have you been trying to sell and i said hours he then said ill buy not because I want but because i want to help and then he gave me 100p instead of 70p and this just made my day and I swear its people like this that make the world go around.
