Bots should be allowed in Conclave

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 09:16 PM PDT

What it says up top. Right now, Conclave is practically a ghost town. I don't want the mode to go away, but I (and many others) are experiencing a cyclical problem:

Not enough interest --> Not a lot of players.

Not a lot of players --> Difficulty getting a match going.

Difficulty getting a match going --> Loss of interest.

...so, with this in mind, DE, I believe the best fix going foreward is to tackle the middle part, by allowing warframe spectre bots to fill out empty positions in a match. Maybe mark a checkbox at the top menu to show whether you want to play with bots or not.

All I'm saying is, if the difficulty in filling out the match was dealt with, more interest could be generated, because it would be as easy as dropping into a normal mission.

    Erra Theory

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 04:14 PM PDT

Was thinking about The New War when I came up with a small theory about Erra: he was created specifically for the Old War as a soldier.

So, Erra doesn't look much like the older Sentients. He walks around, has limbs, and generally looks more human than Hunhow does. Plus, he's canonically Hunhow's "Son", and Natah's older brother. As Natah was also created specifically for the Old War as an infiltrator, it's likely that Erra was created for the sole purpose of combat, given that the original Sentients had specific roles unrelated to combat already (Natah calls Hunhow a "farmer", and her mother a "carpenter"). While the Sentients could probably adapt fairly well to warfare, as Hunhow clearly did, it would make sense for them to create someone for the specific purpose of battle. After all, in Rising Tide Cephalon Cy was unable to find a Cephalon other than himself to serve as the Tenno's Railjack Command Cephalon, even though Cephalons can contol spacecraft easily enough.

Anyways, just a little theory that I came up with that doesn't really have much bearing on The New War. I thought someone here might enjoy it nonetheless.

Nullifiers and Vauban Vortex, a story, or why enemies shouldn't be able to activate their powers when hard-CC'd

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 06:35 PM PDT

So just like with any frame, a nullifier will turn off your abilities and destroy placed objects. Right, pretty standard. Except for one very annoying interaction. Story time:

    1. Me, set up in 'my spot' with Vortexes, Flechette Orbs, and The Squad, when I see a Nullifier approaching: "Okay, better pop that before he gets here, it's making him immune to the CC too!"

    2. Me, pops the bubble and watches the nullifier get zooped up into a meatball with all his buddies: "Cool, problem solved!"

    3. But then, the bubble reactivates while the nullifier is IN the vortex, freeing him and all his buddies I haven't vaporized yet, who then proceed to vaporize ME. "not cool, Not Cool, NOT COOL!"

But yeah, story aside, the fact that enemies can recast their abilities while otherwise totally incapacitated makes zero sense to me, and where Nullifiers are concerned, completely invalidates at least half, if not more, of the frames & playstyles on offer in this game once you go to Sortie level and beyond. The above story was borne of one of today's Steel Path alerts.
