Been playing for 3 days, just landed on Venus' Fortuna. Posted: 23 Dec 2021 05:54 AM PST This game is free? What? That intro cutscene to the planet was brilliant! I've played AAA games this year with less creativity and soul put into their entire game than what was put into just one intro scene. I didn't expect anything, "Oh, another town-like area? Guess I'll check it out, maybe it has a free roam area too like Earth did." I am stunned. I am also pulling out my wallet to give something back to the dev's. I'd lost interest in new games altogether. I stuck to emulators, old games I knew I'd enjoy but had already played through. Every time I bought a new game I always ended up refunding it on Steam or leaving it to rot in my library. I've had this game installed for 2 years but never played it myself. Honestly it's my own fault, the free to play tag had me reluctant to invest any time. "What's a free to play game going to do better than other games I've played?" Crikey...Also, thank you to everyone who's helped me so far. Saw a YouTube comment saying the community was real good to new players, but honestly you're the nicest lot I've encountered, be it on here, in the Q&A chat or on the Discord. Haven't had to wait more than a minute for anything to be answered, and it really helps get over the information overload I feared. This game rocks, you guys rock, the dev's rock. Happy holidays to all! [link] [comments]

Thank you, Tenno. Onward to 2022! Posted: 22 Dec 2021 11:41 AM PST Tenno, It has been 1 week since we released 'The New War' on all platforms, but it's been many years since we first uttered its name. The New War has been a project of ours since 2018, and throughout the years it's taken different forms. It finally released to you 1 week ago, built upon the elements of Warframe that have been years in the making. We did it. Thank you for making The New War our biggest story update of all time. I'm so excited by your reaction and grateful for your patience and enthusiasm - I love reading about your theories and people noticing connections to the games past and future - it feels good to resolve bits of that story. If you played you know there's plenty of new weirdness in store. Since the early Closed Alpha days of 2012, we have set out on a quest of being distinct and uniquely Warframe. For us, the release of The New War will be an unforgettable highlight in what is now almost 2 years of IRL separation from our team and community. This Quest truly is a testament to the community, its structure and story placing trust in your understanding of the Warframe world we have built. The New War's pieces are lovingly crafted by over 300 developers and studio employees wanting to tell the very personal story of Warframe. Your story. And it's only just begun. I saw a lot of 'wish this gameplay stayed' and we share that feeling as well, so there will be some exciting experiments in bringing those change ups into the game in other ways that aren't purely Quest driven. We dedicated our Update 31: The New War to the Quest alone given its scope, and we dedicate 2022 to what comes next: a year full of doing the right things for Warframe. 2021 was all about clean-up and lead-up to The New War. We did our revisits of Railjack, Arsenals, tied together the Proxima & Ground with Liches & Sisters. But now, we have never felt more energized to work on Warframe, and we owe it to you to make 2022 our best year yet. Enjoy The New War. See you in 2022, Tenno. P.S: please use spoiler tags still. Lots of Tenno are just starting their journey! [link] [comments]

I noticed newer melee builds not using any variation of pressure point. Is this a thing now? Posted: 23 Dec 2021 02:33 AM PST Been playing on and off since 2015 and I've never seen a melee build without any form of pressure point until I was looking up builds for the Verdilac. Posted: 23 Dec 2021 01:17 AM PST SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T FINISHED THE NEW WAR! What is very interesting that is overlooked is that when the operator takes the hand of the man in the wall they have multiple versions of them die before only leaving one behind gifting the operator void powers. Part of my theory is that the man in the wall is killing you from different worlds in a multiverese in order to give you powers. The less of you there are the more powerful the current version of you becomes. The man in the wall mentioned he wants to "take your light" .In the words of Entrati Albrect the portal that opened was visually negative. The sky was white and the stars were black. That is where he saw The Man in The Wall reside. In the Duviri Paradox trailer we see just that colorless void planes. The Man in The Wall also mentions that the operator killed Isiah in the sacrifice quest. He thinks it is good that he did it. The Man in The Wall is happy the more mentally conflicted and bad you are. If you make responsible decisions then he gets upset and plays the " I made you" card. He seems like he feeds off of chaos and despair, death. Death isn't as filling as a life of torment. The world of warframe is filled with terrible things happening. The orokin being the major cause of that. I think the man in the wall is a arbiter of chaos. Kind of like the chaos lords in DC. The scene where The Man In The Wall appears after Balas is killed. He speaks the Requiem words. Oull Ris Xata Vome Khra Lohk. In poem for it says. Oull: Infinity (guessing) Through endless faces, countless forms, a multitude unfolds. (Muliverse or eternalism) Ris: Light In luminous space and blackened stars they gaze acuse deny. (Gaze Acuse and Deny are Xakus wheel abilities.Gaze=Body Binding Acuse= Mind Control Deny= Spirit Beam) Xata: Truth It's heralds are the stars its fells, the sky and earth aflame. ( So something is created from a solar systems star being devoured possibly the vitruvian man wall that the doppelganger rides) which is what Balas was trying to do. The Man in The Wall comes to tell of the prophecy of their world being engulfed in darkness and mocks the futility of their efforts to stop the inevitable. Vome: Order To cosmic madness laws submit, though stalwart minds entreat. (The power over cosmic madness referring to the void. The laws of the universe are controlled by void powers. Control over elements cosmic and spiritual forces and even free will.) Khra: Time To cosmic forms from tangent planes, we end as we began. ( All things will die and revert to non existence a form of entropy) Lohk: Void From brooding Gulfs are we beheld by that which bears no name. ( speaking of the mystery of The Man In The Wall.) Our fates are known by this entity. The Man in The Wall is smiling and the our doppelganger is sitting on top laughing while the Lotus protects the tenno from the rift that appeared. Which tells me our efforts to stop the world from being plunged into darkness is inevitable. The Man In The Wall is a being probably created from the destruction of a star. The doppelganger is the true arbiter of this destruction. He goes through endless multitudes causing pain and chaos. He wants darkness a blackened world where light is his and where the light used to be there is only darkness. The inversion of life itself a true death. Where your "light" can't even pass on to an after life. I believe The Man in The Wall is an entity and a bringer of multiveresal death. When our desires and evil greed cause the worlds to wither and die he comes and is called to feed while watching it die. That is probably why the wheel of dark and light is may be important later on. There is also something else that gets to me The Man In The Wall does not have a top part of his face. Just like the Dax portray and some of the other Orokin have. So eyes must be important somehow like the idea of eyes being a window to the soul. Could be a superstition to protect your light aka soul by covering your eyes. The doppelganger has eye's and creepy ones too like a black void. The Orokin were obsessed with immortality so a being that could take your light and preventing continuity must have been the worst case scenario. Also the Kuria tales of the twin sister says the orokins believe that twins are a bad omen. I believe that they think that because of the fear they have of this nameless entity. The tenno and Entrati can't be the only ones who have seen The Man in The Wall. Or maybe the writings of Albrect Entrati were heeded and beliefs were founded from that. The Entrati were very influential as you can see their name being dropped as the Orokin educators for the of the kids on the Zariman Ten Zero. Side note: Since The Man in The Wall is a mockery of the Vitruvian Man sketched by Leonardo Da Vinci. The Man depicted represents the perfect specimen of man geometrically. In philosophy it was also the mapping of the soul and the connection with the soul incompassing the universe. The Man in The Wall has no eyes showing the flaw of man without a soul and a true reflection of death. The mappings of geometric shapes outlined in the Vitruvian Man actually look like our parazon. Which is what is used as a key to stop continuity powers of Kuva if given the correct order of Requiem mods. Kind of like a key to the soul. See link below for reference. Vitruvian Man Geometrical mapping Thoughts? [link] [comments]
