I hate how nonchallant people are around warframes now.

    Posted: 18 Mar 2022 06:13 AM PDT

Used to be warframes were a mistery, a myth, a thing of power and awe."Warframes aren't human." "Warframes dont die." "Warframes don't speak."

NPC's used to talk about warframes with the reverence reserved for lightning gods that descend from heaven bringing righteous fury. Warframes used to be dangerous.

Now its all "OY MATE, YOU TIN-CAN PISS OFF WILLYA HAHA!! HEY HEY, SHINY BOY GET ME SIX WOLF SKINS I'LL GIVE YOU A PLUSHIE LOL"

I mean, i love floofs. Floofs are cool. But once in a while, it wouldn't hurt to have a few characters that remember that they are talking to someone that could wipe their entire race from the face of the universe, and forget about it in the morning.

Ask the Orokin if we can't.

(Hi, if you still think your pink rhino is the most original and funny thing ever, and if you can't understand how in-game lore doesn't really match the gameplay circumstance of 50 million tenno existing, maybe this post wont hit you right. Sorry.)

BEWARE: Exiting OPEN WORLD with NO Bounty objectives completed = NO LOOT

    Posted: 17 Mar 2022 11:18 PM PDT

I farmed 40 Sola Toroids + ores for 1.5 hours on STEEL PATH Orb Vallis bounty ACTIVE

All GONE cause I got hit with MISSION FAIL when i walked through the gates without completing any bounty objectives

For the toxic folks who will say "shame on you" or "go cry in the corner" can go fuck off.

This post is to WARN and REMIND the unaware or newer players to avoid suffering from this painful BULLSHIT

Edit - VIDEO PROOF: Bug or intentional game mechanic??? https://streamable.com/r6habx

    Edit - Workaround by -n-k-

Fly to objective so it updates then fly away to get "Abandoning Objective" warning and a countdown. Once countdown ended and the bounty fails, leaving Open World thru the gates this way will ensure all loot is preserved.

Title. Just a fun "happy birthday" to all the things that were released with that update, including...

    • Saryn and Banshee.
    • Paris, Viper, and Fang.
    • The Corpus Outpost tileset.
    • Stealth attacks.
    • The Defense mission type.

Also, check out the forums post for it, if you're curious.

Since more people will be picking up Garuda, a quick tip. Dread Mirror is not as robust as it seems.

    Posted: 18 Mar 2022 07:01 AM PDT

TL;DR: AoE projectiles bad. Mirror no like.

Dread Mirror is a strong part of her kit due to it's potential to mitigate a crazy amount of damage if you position yourself right. But it has one major issue that is helpful to consider, there's quite a lot of attacks that just bypass the mirror.

There's the obvious stuff like shockwave moas, arson eximus fire blasts, things of that nature. However all area damage bypasses her mirror and this can get particularly nasty in instances where you block a projectile that explodes. You still negate the impact damage, but you will almost always take the splash damage from the projectile since the mirror is more or less just a wall.

This can lead to things feeling inconsistent where one moment you'll be cruising along just fine in a steel path mission and suddenly half your health vanished in an instance because 2 enemies who shoot explosives spawn. Despite the damage modifier on high level void missions such as Mot, you'll likely have a much harder time in places like orb vallis (even if you found a choke point to hold in) where it seems nearly every enemy has some sort of AoE to spit at you whereas the void has none. If you're wondering about bombards, they straight up have no area damage. That or their explosion radius is so tiny it can't even hit your sentinel.

This can also make some of those nastier enemies particularly bad because it just gives them a wider hitbox to shoot (the old juno elites and their exploding supras were hell). Also grineer scorch and supressors (the railjack icethrower dudes) completely bypass your mirror and if an ancient uses his strechy arm attack against your shield, its damage lingers for a second so you can still just walk into it anyways. Funnily enough the cinder machanist's flame thrower does not bypass the shield, however the napalm shot it has will.

In the end it's not the biggest issue these days since garuda can jump back pretty well and even more so with her new invulnerability frames, but it's helpful to know that depending on which faction you fight you can suddenly take a lot of damage through your mirror and to have blood altar/gloom/whatever other defense ability you have active just in case.

    Thumpers are kicking my ass.

    Posted: 18 Mar 2022 07:07 AM PDT

Lately I've been doing a metric crap ton of of Cetus bounties in order to get the materials for Caliban. Other than the repetition it has been going fine, aside from the 'libirate the camp' objective, that one is still iffy. (Maybe just delete that one?)

The only real issue is the Thumpers. I know how to fight them and I don't mind enemies with dedicated weakspots, I actually like that. But are they really supposed to be a time/ammo check? I've tried a bunch of builds. Molecular Prime does not slow them or increase damage recived. Peacemaker targets their invoulnrable body and does 0 damage. Moding my secondary SMGs for the Thumper's elemental weaknes increased damaged dealt from 49 to 48. No, that's not a typo...

Are they simply meant to be a 10 minute time check? Am I missing something?
