Hello, Tenno! Today is Top(ic)-less Tuesday!

Your comments need not be related to Warframe; you can post memes, personal stories, or anything else that wouldn't normally fit within the Relevance Rule. We will still be enforcing the Golden Rule in this thread.

Finding out that Warframe comics live up to the image of veterans that they portray

    Posted: 11 Jun 2019 12:53 PM PDT

I've been lurking in this sub for a while now in search of a new game to dedicate my time to and over time I've come to love the art that everyone puts out here, especially the comics regarding new players. Now, I've spent a significant amount of time in mmos and as such kept thinking "aah, the good ol' sparkly aura having legendary geared veteran aiding the weak newbie dynamic, but surely, as is usually the case, these comics must be over exaggerated".

Ten hours into the game, five back to back, I'm doing the Jackal assassination mission, sneaking my way towards the room where the Jackal's at. Three revives in I realize I've done literally no damage, restart the whole thing twice only to meet the same fate again. Up to this point in the game I've had no problem solo-ing anything so I frantically google a guide cause chances are, I'm the one screwing up. All of the guides are frames with double my stats doing insane amount of damage to the poor fool. So, I go back to the game, mod everything again for max damage and jump back in. This time, I'm in a squad (I've no clue why). The game loads and one of my squad mates is this god walking amongst mere mortals with gear that they probably sold their first born to obtain. Then this lovechild of sonic and the flash bolts his way to the Jackal's room. The remaining of us get there, I hide behind a pillar, set up my shield, reload my weapons, clench my buttcheeks, and as soon as the Jackal becomes hittable, BOOM! It's dead, I didn't even get to shoot. Lotus is still giving her speech about having to kill the Jackal and my buddy on a cocaine high is already on his way to the extraction point. For some reason we did the same mission at least five more times before I quit and in all of those the Jackal was one-shot and my man had over 75% damage done and under 3% taken. I'm in awe. I knew there'd be a huge difference in power but goddamn never have I felt this much disparity between a new player and an end game vet. This has me really excited and makes me wanna play this game so much more. Guess the comics were true after all,

TLDR: Underestimated warframe comics with OP veterans as exaggeration only to find out that people in shiny warframes are indeed credible as OP.

Also, if anyone could tell me why sometimes I'm solo-ing stuff and other times I get put in squads, that'd be super helpful.

Since Prisma weapons are said to be coated and infused with powerful Void Prisma Crystals, shouldn't they deal at least a little bit of Void damage?

Meleeing domestik clones shuts off Xbox One

    Posted: 11 Jun 2019 04:34 PM PDT

Edit: hellfuck I meant domestik drones but autocorrect be nice

Edit 2: it appears I was rushing this post too much, in fact meleeing crashes my xbox

Edit 3: no need to hit anything just pressing B is enough why am I still doing this

I was able to reproduce this 5 times out of 5, my Xbox hates me but I needed to do science

Shooting is fine, abilities are fine, meleeing is not

Tried this with both the first and the second one you meet, still crashed after 10-15 seconds of video freeze with ordis going full beast of bones in the background with creepy screeching (I actually thought it was intended the first time this happened lol)

I have no idea of the effect this does to teammates

Can anyone replicate this or inform me on teammates' consequences?
