DE said in the UI designed post that 90% of Warframe's items have unique icons. How many people know what the name of EACH of these are by icon alone.

Can we get Ghoul Purge inbox notifications removed entirely?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2020 05:22 PM PST

We don't receive inbox messages for when Plague Star lands nor when Thermia Fractures start opening up. I don't see the point in getting notified for a significantly less important/interesting event when we don't get notified for other events with better rewards either. Not to mention that Ghoul Purge occurs more frequently than the other 2 events. We also get 2 inbox notifications for the event (when it begins and when it ends) which spams the inbox. The Ghoul Purge inbox notification is a minor annoyance at best but I don't see any reason to keep it around and I would prefer it to be removed entirely.

Warframe's number one issue : Don't fix what ain't broke, and fix what *is*.

    Posted: 26 Jan 2020 10:44 AM PST

This is a thing that has been brought up time and time again, with all the subtlety of an anvil being dropped on a car... But sometimes you really need to drop that freaking anvil.

The recent End Of Mission screen change preview by DE highlighted that flaw of the way they have developed warframe recently, but it is far from the only offender. Here's a non-exhaustive list of recent changes that most of community voiced as unwelcome. - UI Overhaul having no nameplates. Hotfixed, but nameplates are still off by default. - Melee 3.0's combo system and hold-heavy attacks causing unavoidable miss-inputs on high attack speed weapons. - Archgun hitscan turned into projectiles outside of Empyrean - Archgun damage nerf - Empyrean EHP "Nerf" that turned enemies from armor tanks to HP tanks, and actually made them tougher by making Corrosive Projection weaker.

And in the meantime, here is another list, also non-exhaustive of persistent issues the community continues to bring up that are as of the time of writing, not fixed - Host migration still fails more often than not, often dropping a player out of a mission entirely. - Base vacuum range on warframes is ludicrously small and might as well not exist. - Arch-vacuum and Rail-Vacuum are way too small for the size of the battles these gamemodes take place in. - Dojo rooms can't be moved, take way too long to be deleted, and can only be deleted one at a time, restricting the options for pre-established dojos when a new room is introduced, and preventing redesign. - Loot tables are still filled with padding, despite some recent hotfixes that were supposed to get rid of that. - Anyone unknowingly acquiring illegal platinum in an otherwise legitimate trade can get banned for something they had no knowledge or control over.

And that is just a sample, i am a very forgetful person. In their recent attempts to push "change" and new content over anything else, DE keeps neglecting the established game modes and elements that got warframe popular in the first place, while these "changes" often are an inconvenience to the player at best, and straight up worse than what was already in place at worst. As long as this kind of stuff keeps up, no matter the scale of the content introduced, i don't think the player count will get that much higher.

On Switch there's a weird bug that takes away some characters of your game in certain windows. Mine decided to take away bot "A" and "r" from the mods. These are the best it created.

New End of Mission UI Mockup.

So with everyone creating their own variants of the end of missión UI screen, I decided to take the time and create my own mockup.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory, squad showcase and mission stats would be seen only for those that are interested in that. And the actual exp gains and rewards would make use of the screen as much as possible.

EDIT: I added a second version with bigger vertical items for "Equipment" and "Sindicates".

A small update on the 'Something has been nerfed post' in regards to frame durability.

    Posted: 26 Jan 2020 02:17 PM PST

So today I had a bit of a weird experience that might go some way to explaining things while doing a few hours of lich missions. In the original post I mentioned that I'd gone from being able to tank the endurance puzzle beams to 0 damage with armor alone to not being able to overcome them completely even with the use of adaptation and 2 arcane graces.

Today in a level 100 lich mission (not sure if it effects the puzzle but it seems worth mentioning just incase) I was once again able to tank the beams which were doing zero damage even before adaptation fully kicked in, once again back to overcomming them with armor alone.

Later with the same lich at rank 5 I had no durability issues in most of the missions but in a few I was getting my ass handed to me like a new excalibur taxi'd to hydron.

    ((From here forth lies conjecture))

The main times I remember durability being a concern was during and after lich fights, now this was a flame lich, and fire procs recently got a 50% armor debuff added to them, and I took numerous fire procs because I'm used to not paying attention to damage. So what I'm wondering here is, and this would explain the inconsistenty in reports in the original post, if that its not an issue with frame durability itself but something that occurs during missions that causes damage taken to increase substantially. Perhaps proc effects stacking on our frames somehow and not expiring.

Additionally after reading every comment, health and armor tanking frames such as Inaros and Valkyr appeared near universally effected with only one report of an Inaros not being effected that I can recall, In Hildryn's case some were effected just as badly while others were completely uneffected, and finally while some squishier frame users made supporting posts the vast majority of reports were from health and armor tanking frames.

So here's how I think this ties in to the proc theory, Inaros and Valkyr are raw tanks, they take a lot of procs and make no effort to avoid them, this would allow a lot of stacking. Hildryn can tank in a similar manner but she also has an abillity to clear herself of all status effects, however not all hildryn players use this as many simply use arcane barrier or aegis to replenish their shields passively; this would explain the split nature of reports. Finally less tanky frames are generally played in a way where they get hit less often in the first place and dying from a few seconds stationary at high level would be less unusual, the few reports that did occur are likely from less traditionally tanky frames using a comparatively tanky build.

So thats the update, really its just anecdotal personal experience, reading of user reports in the original thread and speculation. Regardless it does constitute new information and hopefully can go some way to resolving this issue.
