Arbitration revival mechanics must be the worst case of DE not playing their own game I've seen in a long time.

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 07:29 PM PDT

Same thing has happened in three different squads so far.
Random guy dies, random guy demands revive, while I'm trying to explain to him that he has to wait while we collect enough tokens, guy calls us useless idiots that won't revive him and leaves. Now I'm stuck with half hp and shields for the rest of the run. It would take like one playtesting session for that issue to come up, it's that obvious.

This new aura forma feels like an April fool's joke

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 03:10 PM PDT

Seriously. Rarer than even the Adaptation mod, with only a 1.5-2.5% drop chance, and then when you finally get it you don't even get the forma built.

Instead, you have to fork over 4 forma and 10 (freaking 10!) nitain to build it. All that's missing is a 72 hour (or better yet) 96 hour build time.

To top it all off, this doesn't even do anything that useful. I can count the number of frames I regularly want multiple polarities for on a couple fingers.

Even then, it is faster and easier to farm a second of whatever Warframe you want to use and then sink 4 more forma it to get whatever build you want than to farm the aura forma. Saved yourself some time and 10 nitain.

Drop rates aside, for this to even be close to being worth it the building requirements need to be reduced significantly, maybe 1 forma and 2 nitain?

All in all, it's an interesting idea but feels more like a prank than a real game item.

EDIT: for people asking, the aura forma goes on a Warframe aura slot and makes it so that any aura can fit in the slot and give full bonus regardless of polarity

Plains of Eidolon Remaster: Update 24.8.0

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 01:20 PM PDT

    Source!

    Arbitrations 'Iteration 1' Changes

Our goal with this update is to maintain the challenge that Arbitrations promised, while also ensuring that if you or a teammate is knocked out, they still have a chance to jump back into the fight! Iteration 1 brings the discussed Revival mechanic and enemy scaling changes to mirror normal Endless mission modes. We will be watching how these changes play out as we plan to iterate further on the mode in the future, with our next review for Arbitrations focusing on reward pacing.

    BE KIND, REVIVE
The rules of Arbitration death have shifted: players are still downed with no bleedout timer, but a Revive tower is now placed at the player's spot of death. If any squadmate is awaiting Revival, the Arbitration Drones will begin dropping unique pickups known as a "Resurgence Burden". These pickups function similar to Index points (otherwise known as "Financial Stress"), debuffing the players who carry them.

In order to revive a player, 5 of these Resurgence Burdens must be taken to their tower simultaneously. These 5 pickups can be delivered by one or multiple squadmates, but cannot be "dropped off" at the tower - it's all or nothing!

    NEW REWARDS
You can now spend Vitus Essence in the Arbitrations Market to purchase Archgun Rivens (if you are below your Riven cap), as well as new cosmetics! The new cosmetic offerings include:

    AMPREX TELOS SKIN
    ATOMOS TELOS SKIN
    ATTERAX TELOS SKIN

ILLUMINA JUDICIUM (name showing incorrectly in game. Will be hotfixed)
    Let Arbitration begin.

A similar Emote style to the TennoCon 2019 Emote, the Illumina Judicium displays your true dedication to Arbitrations with a looping Vitus Illumina Glyph whilst doing an angsty Meditation pose.

    JUDICIAL OCULUS
Eyewear created by the Arbiters for those they deem worthy.

Also, enemies now have a chance to drop the elusive Aura Forma Blueprint! Craft Aura Forma to further customize your Warframe and fine-tune your Mod builds. (See bottom of text!)

    General Arbitrations Changes

    • Removed custom enemy level scaling from Defense, Survival, Interception, Excavation, Defection, and Infested Salvage modes in Arbitrations. Enemy scaling now mirrors normal Endless missions that increase as the missions progresses.
    • Reduced Vitus Essence crafting cost for the Amber Star Blueprint from 2 to 1.

    Fixes

    • Potential fix for inability to use Warframe Abilities and prior active Invisibility being broken after using Transference.
    • Fixed cases of Plains Rescue Bounties prematurely ending.
    • Fixed (for real this time) the Synth Mod Set Bonus resulting in your weapon reload stopping and Synth icon stuck for a Client players after Operator mode.
    • Fixed a script error if Stalker's target disconnects after his initial Transmission fires up.
    • Fixed Alad V's skirt clipping into his legs in his Wolf of Saturn Six Episode dioramas.
    • Fixed potential (harmless) script crash that can occur when Wolf dies in the middle of spinning.
    • Fixed equipping Castanas (in default Skin) placing a larger version of one of the projectiles between the Warframes legs.
    • Fixed windows in Grineer Settlement tileset being impassible when they look open.
    • Fixed some waypoints flip flopping around you in Lua tileset (more fixes required).
    • Fixed Void Dash colliding with Snowglobe.
    • Fixed a crash caused by Khora's Strangledome.
    • Fixed wonky lantern textures in Teshin's Relay room as reported here: https://old.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/bene8w/as_one_of_the_4_conclave_players_i_require_these/
    • Fixed an issue where selecting default keybindings would remove the ability to scroll or click, as well as causing other issues.

EDIT: The drop location for the Aura Forma BP is actually a rotation drop from Arbitrations and not a drop from enemies. This was edited/removed in the source post.

    The Arbitration rewards feel underwhelming.

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 05:09 PM PDT

Sorry to be blunt, but they feel tacked on and uninspired. I mean, DE, are you seriously selling recolours of weapons as 'skins' for activities that are supposed to be somewhat 'endgame' oriented?

At least Aura Forma is cool, until you realise that there's only a few good Aura mods in the game, and majority of them reside in the dash polarity slot, effectively making the Aura Forma sort of useless unless you're really into switching Aura mods (which, a large majority of people aren't).

Archgun Rivens are fine, but they're for Archguns and I really don't see where you'd want to use them except the Orb Mother fight (where they'd also be largely unnecessary if you just mod the gun properly and bring Chroma to melt each phase). I'd rather keep my Kuva and roll weapons I actually want to use.

Maybe it's just me, but it still doesn't feel like this update brought any new life into Arbitrations, just added more revives and forgettable rewards you're probably gonna buy once (if at all). What do you guys think?

In case this post gets read by DE staff, I don't intend to disrespect any work put into these rewards at all, I'm just stating my opinion and the fact that I was hoping for something better.

DE, please fix The Wolf of Saturn Six

    Posted: 24 Apr 2019 11:01 PM PDT

People are leaving missions where he shows up even if the team is chunking him, and I don't blame them, because even "chunking" him still involves minutes (upon minutes) of wearing him down.

    Problems with The Wolf:

    • Hundreds of thousands of effective health at higher levels.
    • Immunity to status and warframe/operator debuffs.
    • Damage output is even more crippled by the new 0.75 headshot damage multiplier (25% headshot damage resistance)
    • Melee combat, the most ideal damage method against him, is practically impossible unless you're one of the immortal frames like Wukong or Nidus.
    • Moves very often, practically teleports for vertical mobility, and is, in general, a pain to keep track of and keep up with.

    Other problems with the fight:

    • Fugitives throw firebombs with not just a hard-to-spot animation and nigh-instant fuze, but also extremely lethal and long-lasting damage.
    • Fugitives are invincible and thus difficult to manage even with CC frames.
    • All of the time dedicated to reviving downed teammates is time where you're not dealing damage.
    • You still have to deal with whatever other enemies are present in the mission.
    • Lord forbid you came without squad restoratives - chances are you will run out of ammo before he dies.
    • A host migration will reset his health and make continuing pointless.

An Open Letter: Dear DE have you been thoroughly playing and testing your own game?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2019 12:09 AM PDT

First of all, please take my words with a grain of salt, they may not reflect everybody's opinion/assessment towards WARFRAME®. Also, my apologies if any statement sounds offensive or rude.

Dear DE, I thank you for all the hard work and the chains of improvements Warframe has passed through the years, it is such a masterpiece.

However in light of recent changes or additions, one may pose a question, have you tested or played those changes or additions before deploying them? You may ask me, why I am putting up such a questioning.

So let's put it straightforward. First Nightwave, they are a promising substitute to the now defunct alert system, they came with a bunch of hindrances, but it is just a matter of time and adaptation. But there are two things, which are still present in it, that are either demotivating or frustrating.

The Wolf and long mission tasks. The Wolf appearance is more a nuisance than a challenging boss. He is almost invulnerable, one must take a lot of his/her time to defeat him, which becomes pretty boring after a while. He shows up in the worst scenarios, for example showing up to leveling players in Hydron. It is not just some whining, let's take Stalker as example, if he were to show up while leveling up, one may just use spoiler mode to defeat him. Wolf drop table is absurd, why does he have North Wind in his loot table?

The second issue is long mission challenge, such as 1 hour or 40 wave defense missions, it goes against a principle which you, DE, said in the past. You would not push content which requires player to stay too long in a mission. You have even taken back one of the tasks which required 40 waves in a defense mission due to people complaints, but this week the limits have been stretched, by putting three tasks which require patience and time. I know that we can do Survival and Kuva together, but really?

Fortuna also introduced things which seem to lack testing or quality assessment, let's not dwelve further into them, but it took you guys to actually put Fracture back with some changes for you guys to realize how wicked it was? That raises a question, when are you going to tweak/change Profit Taker?

The latest issue which lacks proper testing or quality assessment is Arbitration updates. We have been giving you lots of positive feedbacks and constructive comments, that its rotation and system need to be reworked, the duration and span of the rewards need to go, but you come with a ultra rare reward and revival. The latter is a failure by design, I am not going to describe it completely, but right now if a player dies, someone tries to revive him/her and he leaves the session, we are debuffed for the rest of the mission. It is flawed because if players died, it does not make any sense to revive them, due to enemy scaling. It is pretty obvious that they gonna die again. A simple solution would be a mechanism to create a buff for the whole team for the rest of the mission for passing through this ordeal, but it may be too farfetched.

So the question remains, DE are you testing the game? Are you assessing the quality?
