    A word on Holster Styles (and how SnS “styles” are now literally a scam.

    Since the Melee Update dropped, using your melee weapon does not need you to switch to it, which means no drawing animation. For most of the Holster Styles, drawing the weapon from a different style was half the reason we bought them, so one could argue they've lost some of their value.

    However, the "Holster Styles" for sword and shield weapons do not change the way they are holstered, they only change the way the sword is drawn from the shield. Now here's the issue: there is no way to have this animation occur in gameplay any more, the moment you tap the melee button, the sword warps to your hand. So you can pay 20 Platinum for a "Holster Style" that does literally nothing anymore.

    Please add a way to "switch" to your melee and play the draw animation, or just refund that 20P to those who bought the SnS Holster Styles.

    Switching weapons with Valkyr has been badly broken since the Melee Rework.

    It's not the thing everyone on the forums is complaining about, where aiming puts Hysteria away. That's how it's *supposed* to work.

    This is the only forum thread I could find on the issue.

    Every time I play Valkyr, I'm faced with the same stupid buggy mess. Presumably, other exalted weapons also have these problems, but I don't play Excalibur or Ivara enough to know.

    Activating or deactivating Hysteria is the trigger. Randomly, I'll get one of these problems:

    • Game forgets that I'm selected to my secondary and drops my primary back in my hands. Not game breaking, just mildly annoying.
    • No weapon equipped. Valkyr's arms sit at her sides. Sometimes just swinging a melee is enough, others I need to toggle hysteria.
    • Game forgets that Hysteria is *off*, and any melee attacks use talons. Not sure if I'm attacking with my equipped stats or my talons stats. Not game breaking, but inconvenient.
    • Can't do anything. This one is the worst, and the rarest. I can't shoot, can't melee, can't cast abilities, can't switch weapons, can't use Spoiler Mode. I'm out of commission until I let something kill me, which isn't always an option (see: Arbitration).

    This isn't a misaligned menu. It's not a bad info screen. It's a bug that was introduced when melee got reworked and it frequently breaks the game, and needs badly to be fixed.

    The story of this game has pretty much been one big redemption arc for ol' Salad. He started off being a generic Corpus villain, gained a fascination with chopping up Warframes, and then messed with the Infestation out of a desperate desire to eke out one last bit of profit.

    It got so bad for him that he managed to see that he made mistakes and asked his archenemies for help. He's become a bit more benevolent after that, by helping us in the Second Dream. Even when it looked like he turned back to evil in the search for profit, it was revealed that the Sentients forced him into the "partnership", and he was more than pleased when we destroyed his Sentient minder for him.

    Going by this pattern, I have a distinct feeling that he's going to get killed in the fight against the Sentients in some fashion to finally make him unambiguously good. Probably by sacrificing himself to destroy the Sentient Mother in some way.
